Yup. That was my feeling as well and is one of the reasons that I kept her going 24/7.
Rick, thanks for the response. So here's the question. Turning it off and on expands and contracts the wood. Leaving it on increases charring. Which is the least of the two evils? For me, I've decided to only turn her on when needed. Don't really know if that's the correct decision though, but I think it is.
To any newbies or lurkers reading this thread who are considering purchasing this type of vape, PLEASE don't let this discussion dissuade you from doing so. My PD is my go to vape, and if I had to do it all over again, it STILL would be my go to vape. I have no doubt that Zap users here feel the same way about theirs. They are both, without a doubt, the most efficient and some of the best vapes on the market.
