so has anyone tried the lubrication fix that inhalater posted?
I will try it later today, I will keep you posted.

the difference is that these companies u are talking about are producing millions of units...for inhalater it took them 20 days to ship the first 10 replacements and pulled back again the production...i dont think there is a comparison between these two...
Sure about the DOAs, but the Apple antennas had the problem with the release with the iphone 4. It wasn't because it was produced in millions and there were a few outliers. There was a flaw with the unit itself until they fixed it.
AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON APPLE MAPS!!!!!! ARRGGHHHHHHHH
I'm not sure how you guys can vape at 1-4...I cannot get anything bigger than wisps of vapor. Am I doing it wrong?
Yes this is how I converted my blunt smokin homeboy to a 250$ vape lol..I've literally had capsules last me 40-50 minutes doing just that and it hits like a blunt to.
thats weird because i can hardly stand to rip it on 3. the throat hit is crazy and when i use my tongue to block the hit air its just too hot on my tongue. so far 2 is my max... unless im running it through water of course. i can comfortably rip it at 6 with water.
so mine seems very hot i guess. even on 1 i can produce a decent cloud, but 1.5-2 seems about as high as i wanna go. my ABV is coming out just how i like it... an even mid brown.
anyone else think the XP is hot? none of my other vapes even come close to the throat hit im getting with my XP. even a steady pull is too much. ive been using a slow pull with good results, but i really want to honk on this thing.
In other words ... scar tissue?I think once you get used to it, it wont be as harsh and hot for you. I remember it was hitting my throat hard the first 3-4 days using the XP.. after that and now it isnt bad at all and I STILL go straight to 9 sometimes and get big hits with no harshness or irritation..See how it is after a week of using it? I remember another member reported the same problem and came back later saying it wasnt as bad any more.
Just tried the "fix" and opened the inahalater as the manufacturer requested. Never been so disgusted in my life. Lmao at paying $250 to open such a fragile device yourself. I must point out that Ive been upgrading my own computers for a long time, I also used to repair xbox and ps3s.
That being said, the video doesnt even specify where to dab wd 40 if youre not taking it out completely, so mine was on its way to be fixed but the cable was way too lose and the if youre doing thid procedure for the fist time you will damage your unit guaranteed. The cable was already out due to the sloppy way of gluing it to the circuit.
Now Im left with a damaged ugly looking unit that I must sent back and $20 less from buying the supplies to "fix" it.
Pretty disgusting experience.
So disgusted right now Im just going to wait
I had pretty much the same experience. If it wasn't broke before it dam sure is broke now!
It is actually a combination of conduction and convection. The heat chamber wall transfers the heat to the circumference of the capsule (conduction) and when you inhale, you pull heated air through the capsule (convection).I hope they get everything under wraps. This vape seems to be the only "pure-convection" vape out there. Hopefully everything works out and we can see a XP versus Ascent showdown!
Greg from Pharmocor told me the last shipment were calibrated too hot and I would definitely agree with that.thats weird because i can hardly stand to rip it on 3. the throat hit is crazy and when i use my tongue to block the hit air its just too hot on my tongue. so far 2 is my max... unless im running it through water of course. i can comfortably rip it at 6 with water.

I (back)ordered from planetvape on March 18 - what unit can I expect to receive?Units produced up to this week were calibrated too hot. We reduced significantly without detriment to cloud production.
Thanks for effort in trying the DIY repair. We will send new unit over. Will arrange return with an included envelope.

I dont think you can really "honk" the XP because the heater will get cool from the massive hit..

Very right, it is better trying to lubricate the potentiometer while leaving it in place. Thanks for effort in trying the DIY repair. We will send new unit over. Will arrange return with an included envelope.
