In the market for a dry herb vaporiser

Hi all

First post here.

I'm in the market for a dry herb vaporiser. Currently, I'm vaping CBD oil I make from crystal isolates for my anxiety/depression and wife's fibromyalgia, but I'm thinking it'll be cheaper (in the long run) to just buy the herb and vape that. I've only been vaping about six weeks so it's all very new to me.

This is what I want from a dry herb vaporiser:

Top loading
Convection heating
Ceramic chamber
Isolated air path
Glass mouthpiece

As I said above, it's for CBD primarily but, you know, you only live once, and all that :)

I've got a 300w Wismec Reuleaux RX Gen 3 mod, so is there a dry herb tank with a 510 connector I can just screw onto that and vape?

@Pinkman Now Id like to ask why you want certain things, seeing as you havent got a lot of personal experience I think you shouldnt discount certain things just because they may have received undue bashing, or other things receiving undue praise. There are alot of types of vaporizer and they each have people who swear that the one they prefer is the best.

There is no "best" vaporizer, what one person finds to be great another person may find to be awful. There are certainly many great vapes, and also many not so great vapes, and this makes choosing all the more difficult.

Consider what makes you want to only look at convection devices, and why you want a isolated air path. There a many great vaporizers that you may overlook as a result of these constraints. Try to have a open mind to let you try lots of things, and be willing and open to admit you like something you may not have expected yourself to like.

The Fury2 is most likely a good vaporizer for you if you do end up moving to dried flower especially, but I have heard its somewhat lacking in concentrate only usage. (I havent tried one yet, but do plan to) It is a affordable option, that will let you know if you like certain things without breaking the bank.

I do admit I am curious how you make oil from CBD isolate? Best of luck with everything and I hope you find what you are looking for.

Welcome to the Forum @Pinkman . Everything that is on your want list except the ceramic chamber seems to be fulfilled by the Fury2.

The Fury2 is moderately priced and the company behind it, has a very good reputation so far.

You can take a look at the last couple of pages of the Fury2 thread to get some information. Maybe the devie is interesting for your use-case.

It's not ceramic because it's glass or is that just the mouthpiece? Otherwise it looks good.

The chamber itself is stainless steel as far as I know.

You can use the Fury2 in two ways. You can either use the normal mouthpiece which has a stainless steel screen, a silicone seal and glass in the vapour path (most do not feel bothered by that) or you can use the glass mouthpiece or water piece adapter. The glass MP and WPA are all glass stems with a little chamber at the bottom. That chamber gets filled with herb and then the stem is inserted into the Fury2 chamber after it is heated up. With using the glass MP and/or WPA you have an almost all glass vapour path and the Fury2 chamber stays quite clean, also it is very useful for microdosing.

I'm fairly new myself and the Fury is the most efficient and effective of my three vapes. Well, I honestly still have to negotiate the learning curve to maximize my VapCap.

I also have a Linx Gaia. It's been a bit smoother overall but doesn't rip like the Fury 2.

I'm eyeing an E-nano for my first desktop and I'm also waiting on an Arizer Solo 2. All for dry herb only in my case.

I agree there isn’t the perfect vaporizer. It’s just personal preference. Just because a few people swear by a certain vape and says it’s the best, doesn’t mean you’re going to like it. Pick a couple units you are interested in and look through those threads.

My vaporizers that I’m using are the Solo 2, Grasshopper, Milaana, the Woodscents and the Enano and sometimes the EVO. I have many vaporizers that sit in the drawer or I have given away to smokers because I didn’t like them but others thought they were wonderful.

Buying a vaporizer can be a costly venture especially if it’s over $300. It will be an investment in your health and can be your wallet. My Log vaporizers use the least amount of weed.

You don’t want a unit that is a weed hog so take that into consideration. I personally don’t like a vaporizer with a lot of little parts that can be lost. I like a glass airpath. We are all different.

The splinter meets your criteria but there may be a wait. I agree that the Fury 2 is a nice and simple vape. But also check out the Tubo evic which is my favorite vape. It has a built in evic so you can't screw yours in but there is a version where you can add your own. On the tubo thread you can see a recent review on video that describes the tubo in detail. I think it would help with your decision whether an evic or the version that uses your mod. Both the tubo and fury are relatively inexpensive. Also the mistvape is a good on demand vaporizer.

If you're looking for a plug-in all the major ones are excellent: underdog, enano, woodscents. Leaving the HI off only because it can be a long wait. Same reason for leaving the iHeat off which would allow you to screw in your mod.

Never leave the HI log out of the equation, at least the Bamboo Hi ... I suggested it to a member not long ago and that person is now the proud owner of a bamboo HI. I guess he builds them on days he can't turn wood or to diversify the work load, I don't know , but regardless of how they come about , they are sometimes available ,
One of the best price:efficient vape out there , imho.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've not settled on a vape yet because I have no means of acquiring a certain herb to partake of. I want to grow my own but I'm many months away from that (what with research and saving up for the necessary indoor growing gear).
