:wave:Hey there, FCers it's been a while!

Mr. herbgirl and I have been so busy with our businesses I haven't had any time to contribute to this community (too busy with PTA and my own neighborhood!) so I throw you this easy-peasy recipe :-)

This is based on one of my most popular cake fillings, eggless chocolate chip cookie dough. I made them for a dear friend's housewarming party a month or so ago. They were a hit but unfortunately I did not get pictures :( They just looked like innocent truffles in cute little foil cups.

:drool:ABV chocolate chip cookie dough truffles

Yield approx 24. Can be easily doubled or tripled. i aim for an average dosage of three pieces, especially in party situations where you are dealing with a variety of tolerances, it is nice to give people a choice.

Ingredients
1/4 c unsalted butter
1/4 c brown sugar
2 t water
1/2 t vanilla extract
1/2 c flour and/or finely ground and sifted ABV - no stems please, texture is important here.
*More flour will taste better/More ABV will stone you better I usually end up with mostly ABV ;-)
1/4 t salt
1/3 c (or as much as you dare muahhhahah) mini chocolate chips

1/2 c candy melts or chocolate chips for drizzling on top

Melt butter, set aside to cool slightly
Blend brown sugar, flour/ABV, salt and 1/3 c mini chips thoroughly, set aside
Add vanilla extract and water to the cooled but still liquid butter. If it is too hot, you will melt the chocolate chips! Not unsalvagable, but not what we are going for here.
Add butter mixture to flour mixture and stir until a rollable dough forms. Taste and adjust if needed. Add water or flour sparingly to adjust the texture if needed.

Roll into balls the size of large grapes (or whateverthefuck size you want, really - you could slap the dough in a pie pan and slice that bitch into wedges if you wanted to:nod:) and place on parchment while you prepare the chocolate drizzle.

Melt chocolate or candy coating in the microwave for a few 30 second bursts to get it 80% melted, let stand for a moment and stir. Carry over heat should finish the melting, if not zap it again real quick. Make sure it is smooth and fully liquid. If you are using chocolate instead of candy coating, adding a tsp or so of coconut (or other neutral oil) oil can loosen it up a bit if it seems gloppy.

Take a fork and dip it into the chocolate, pull it out, then drizzle fine lines on top of each of the balls. This looks neater if done in one direction.

Allow chocolate to dry and transfer truffles to individual foil candy cups or just throw them in a tupperware if you don't care how they look.

Notes
This recipe is infinitely adaptable. switch up the chips, add nuts, change extract flavors, add cocoa powder (in a triple batch, sub out flour), add peanut butter, you could probably also make an oatmeal cookie version with the right mods. Add to this thread if you do!!

It also looks super fancy with it's chocolate drizzle and shiny foil cup, makes for a nice presentation in a white candy box.

Nothing says 'I love you guys, congrats on the huge new house' like some seriously awesome edibles for the housewarming party.

And all with no baking!
