If they were the same price

If the TM2 and the Solo 3 were the same price which would you choose?
TM2 for the more open draw.

Keep in mind that's based on research. I don't have either. I do have a Solo2 and it's great, but always wanted a more open draw

In a choice between two bad options, obviously tinymight. Safer heater and airpath, better packaging, more durable stem holding design, better ui, less awkward form factor. This doesn't get into the convection heavy on demand of the tm vs conduction/whatever on the solo.

If you are buying the solo with all it's airpath compromises, the Roffu/v3Pro are better options for less money and less fragile stems.

A few years ago I had the Solo 2 and disliked it. Sold it and moved on. I had 2 OG TMs and recently traded them for 2 TM2s. I just traded my 2 Paxs for a store credit. Instead of a 3rd TM2 I was thinking of trying the Solo3. The reviews seem to be very favorable. However, I'm not opposed to a 3rd TM. In fact, I would feel somewhat privileged. Damn VAS !!

I'd say just roll the dice on the Solo3 just to try something different, at this point. I'm in a similar place where my perfect vapes are locked down and I'm going wildstyle with obscure/old/legacy vapes and designs just to see if they have any chops. Some do (vg), some don't (lotus), but it's good to branch out.

What I don't like about vaporizers are the displays, I don't see the point as they only show a number and not the temperature in the bowl. It's the simplicity without being overloaded that makes the TM so appealing to me. But since you already have two, variety would be great. But someone who has more than three TMs will tell you that...

TM2

I hate displays, dislike most UI's, detest Smartphone applications and couldn't be bothered with pushing buttons to raise the temp with "1 degree". Plastic in a vape makes me wanna vomit and i really get in a bad mood when my vape is releasing vapor by itself, inbetween hits...
I'll decide when my shit gets cooked, tyvm!
:D:cool:

All those things have the same effect on me: they ruin the experience, distract me in a bad way... so every time i tried a device with one or more of those specifics i always ended up saying:
"Get the Fuck outta hee!!
Where's my TM2 goddammit? "

So yeah, whenever i have a budget for a battery vape (and no TOAD-news) i buy another TM2 'cause i know i'll never have too many of those... for future adventures!
Like @Pib says: it's the simplicity that i love in the TM2.
Little can go wrong with it and what goes wrong can be fixed!

Okay yeah, I never reach for the S3 over the TM2, I much prefer the versatility and true on demand pure convection of Tinymight, but Solo is a fun hybrid, just not that different from previous Solo really, the same classic session conduction, it is definitely better and more versatile, but still not on the level of TM, vapor quality not as good etc (I try to keep both upside down, using with GVB stems or WPA through hooks, and I prefer the TM flavor and vapor) --- personally I find hybrid heating, like the solo, to be much more harsh, though it can smack in a different way compared to on demand pure convection?? What about trying something else entirely, like Tafee Bowle???? (even more $$$ but a very nice experience imo)

TM2 based solely on the fact that most owners say it’s the best, and I have and love it. After that, probably Venty since I had good luck with and loved my Mighty+.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, depending on the situation and people, sharing passing back and forth can work better session style with the S3, I like the TM in that sense because on demand it seems more efficient etc, but there can be learning curve for some people... Solo is much easier just puffing to share like a joint really (but need a good stem since it is quite harsh after the lowest temps imo though manageable for sure)

I have the Tafee Bowls. I like it but for what ever reason it doesn't hit like the TM (or the Splinter).

In terms of sharing, I'm fortunate enough (or stupid enough) to have many vapes so I can hand one over to a guest.

I'm leaning towards the TM. I just admit I feel kinda silly having 3 of them. I am lucky to have a great pension.

Yeah I still prefer the TM as well, sounds like you know what you want then really, I do think TB2 would be worth trying for myself at least, but I have no plans to purchase either

I really enjoy my Solo3. I think you've already got the TM2 bases covered so why not try something new? Lots of fans in the S3 thread.

I just can’t get past the form factor. I mean, why not built on a small stash box, or maybe a potter grinder thing, even a cute fake aquarium. I don’t think it’s wise for someone like me to have a liquid above a $500 electronic device.

I definitely thought it was weird too but I took the plunge after reading the reviews. The acrylic cup is optional but if you do use it, you could always fill it with chips or candy or a snack of some kind.

I think I'll try it with a cold beer for sure at least once. I wish it would just get here quick when the postal strike ends.

I've also never used my cup, should at least test it, having colder vapor from the cold liquid in the cup next to the mouthpiece stem, but yeah not really my bag, I'd rather have a separate glass of water with me... It can be versatile, but that form factor is still ultimately limiting yep (like the grasshopper, was differently limited by its form factor lol)
