Do hoses that people uses turn brown and gross just as if they were using a bong or anything else? I mean if we were inhaling only vapor then essentially the hoses should remail unchaged shouldn't they? Or only lightly be different in color and more white or something instead of yellow and brown no?

Stems/downpipes/bongs/tubing all stay extremely clean when compared to smoking.

I could vaporize 100x the amount compared to smoking and it would still come out cleaner IMO, I couldn't even get through 10g combusted in a piece without it going disgusting and needing a clean.

The buildup is much lighter in colour and smells significantly less offensive.

Vaping, by far, keeps the pieces cleaner but even when they are "dirty", I'm not stressin because you can vape that resin. I love when the time comes to soak the PD stems in iso.

Yes, i am trying to build up hype -- for an all glass vaporizer. Either mine or someone else's.

i will start selling the But Toaster when i think it is right, and, manufacturable. i will make the first 1000 in my own shop.

i keep telling myself i'm using the pre-production prototype. But after about a month of daily use, i see things to improve. i'm pretty satisfied with the current unit, except ... the buttons need to be moved in and up about 1/8", and the mounting of the printed circuit board can be simplified -- which will speed assembly.

So i fiddle with the design and make yet another prototype. And since i'm supposed to be working at my job 24/7, it's hard to get time in the shop ... whine, whine, whine.

Just trying to share my 9 years of designing, building, and, using a vaporizer 24/7.

But, seriously bluntfaced, can i put you on the waiting list for one of my $500 Bud Toasters?

being that most of that stuff is just condensed THC vapor, I would assume that most of it is absorbed by our lungs. far different from the tar and resin that gunks up your lungs from smoking

the buildup in your vape tube is the plant resin. vapor is merely boiledplant resins from trichomes. the plant resins are not water soluble, unlike the tars from smoking, and are removed from your lungs with mucus

But how much of that brown buildup is due to chemical reaction of the hot vapor with the plasticizers in the tubing? And when you soak the plastic tubing in alcohol, the plasticizers are extracted -- moved to the surface of the plastic and eventually, some is stripped off. Then the tubing becomes brittle.

Johns Hopkins Community Health Dept says to never cook in plastic. Vape temps are above cooking temps. So called "food grade" plastic is safe for food contact, not food cooking.

Certainly you're better off just putting clean fresh air in your lungs. Eating cannabis is more healthy than other methods of ingestion, but you'll use considerably more that way. Have you heard the expression 'there's no such thing as a free lunch'? If you want an mj buzz, there's a price to pay, one way or another.
