I want to give my friend a vape.

Hello,
I'm looking to give a vape to my best friend for Christmas. I've got an Arizer ExtremeQ that I've had for years. It was/is my first and only vape. I'm totally happy with it but I think he'd prefer something a bit more discreet. I've never used or even seen another vape in person so I have no idea what is available that might best meet his needs.

It would be used almost exclusively by him. I doubt that he'd be into filling balloons. His use, like mine, is very modest......get a couple of hits and go then maybe a tune up hit an hour later. An 1/8th can last weeks. No kidding. I'd like to get something that will do green, oil, wax and shatter.

I'm really tempted to get him the Arizer EQ and be done with it as the EQ does it all but like I said, he'd prefer something more discreet. Suggestions for brand, model and essential accessories would be most appreciated.

I would suggest the Flowermate V5.0s - it's very discrete, very affordable, but a perfect intro vape for newbies. If you need something more discrete the new Flowermate mini has a smaller battery, but it adds USB outlets so you can pretend it's an external battery bank for a cellphone (as long as nobody smells the "battery" it would look like a normal charger for a phone.

You could go for the Vapcap. It's only $30 dollars. Probably the smallest vape at the moment. It's the size of a cigarette and works with any lighter or heat source, although I read it works best with a torch. It's a new vape but it has good reviews from those who have gotten one. You can check that forum for more info. It's the most economic choice on the market at the moment and it's coming with a an unconditional lifetime warranty for all backers. You can check out vids on youtube. Looks awesome.

Check out Underdog or E-nano log vapes. Then he could use for aromatherapy when not vaping and there nice to look at. Jmo

I wanted to add that price is not really an issue nor is power. Anyplace he'll likely use it has 120v. We're in WA state so there is no big need to hide it but discretion is still a good idea.

The ENano is a VERY beautiful vaporizer, simple to use, and very discrete (as long as you put away the glass bits before guests come over, nobody would know it's a vape). I personally use it daily paired with a cheap glass bubbler.

If you want, you can even buy a piece of exotic wood from our friend @Snappo and have it made into a custom exotic nano (my second Nano is made from a gorgeous Afzelia Burl wood)

It fits well to water tools and is a very easy vaporizer to use. It works perfect as a first vaporizer. It has the all glass vapor path and you can get one for under $150.

The Enano would be my next suggestion, it's a log vape. You can get one for under $200. Every unit is a one of a kind, pay a little extra and you can get a custom one with exquisite wood patterns. I use my Nano most of the time at home but also use my Solo when I need a cordless as well as the Air.

I also would suggest the Arizer Air, I have that vaporizer, it works well if you need discreetness. Similar to the Solo but thinner around and it has user replaceable batteries. Read all about it in the Arizer Air thread.

Yeah I was going to say the Arizer Solo, it's good quality and good value, not the best portable on the market and also not the most discrete, there's also the arizer air but i don't know enough about it to recommend it. I'd say if you like your arizer desktop you'll also appreciate their portables. They're quality.

I have the arizer solo and air and I prefer the air. It's lightweight, has replaceable batteries and has different heat settings. For plug-in both the enano and underdog are beautiful and work well. One thing I like about the underdog is that I feel comfortable leaving it out with the metal aromatherapy container (or either with joda glassworks beautiful stems). I understand money is not an issue but the underdog is quite a bit cheaper depending on the wood choice and comes with several different stems.
The people at the underdog site are amazing in terms of service and working to problem solve any issues. Otherwise I buy from puffitup with the fc discount.

i agree with those who said a log vape sounds just about right, i love my Underdog and recommend 'em Per your statement above way more then my Solo, it's cool for 10-12 minute sessions but isn't really made to just pull off a quick hit or two now and then ... In my opinion anyways.
A log like the UD or Nano is much better suited for a couple hits now and a few more over the next few hours or one hit an hour for the rest of the day to keep you in the right frame of mind... also for wanting it to do oil, wax, and shatter I know people in the Underdog and E-Nano threads have talked about doing concentrates now and then with theirs but i have little experience or knowledge about using anything other then herb myself.

your on the best site on the web for info on different vape models, go to the plug in and portable vape sections and read to your hearts content and you can find some answers along with a few more new questions I'm sure.
Also you can ask specific questions about the vapes that interested you most in their very own threads for some more in depth knowledge.

I recommend the Haze vaporizer. It's got user replaceable batteries, the ability to use herbs and concentrates, and has screens that handle both conduction and convection. It comes with glass and metal stems to choose from (I like glass at home and steel when traveling). Plus you can pre-load your cans with herb. It also has two chambers to swap between.

Haze customer service has always been rock solid from day 1. And now they have @scottg402 on the team, so you're in great hands.

Another vape to consider is the Lotus. They recently came out with a high temp cap for both flower and concentrates. That coupled with the aluminum stem is a nice portable. You can also use a wpa adapter if he wants to use it with glass in the future. The only thing is he would need to use a small torch lighter since it is not electric. It is quite versatile and gives great flavor. A little herb goes a long way also.

As much as I'd like to recommend a log such as the Underdog or Nano I can't because they don't have any accessories that are purpose made to work with concentrates. The only way I can use concentrates with my logs and be satisfied is putting a dab on top of a bed of herb which is overkill for me. I don't think cotton is a good solution to hold your oils, stainless steel or gold mesh works but is messy. However for herb, logs are always my first recommendation. Especially when someone wants to use them for "maintenance hits'.


The Vapman stands out when thinking of a discreet vape that'll do flowers, hash, and concentrates well.
