I think my hash contains opium....

So first off I'm not even sure if I can post this because its not just about mj but here I go..

A couple weeks ago my and a friend picked up a half of some so called morrocan from an old friend. It was definatly import because of the smell and shape(smuggling pellet) it has a dark sticky outside layer and a nice golden brown center, he claimed that it was coated in hash oil. So whenever we smoked or vaped it definatly brought on a really really strong buzz unlike anything I've felt before but still not too unlike mj. After a couple days of using it I definatly knew this was more than super amazing hash. I also discovered that I got alot higher when vaping it than smoking it. I started to do some reaserch and found that what the buzz I was feeling was similar to that of raw opium and that it is often mix with hash especially in Afghanistan. I also read in china in the 15th century they invented a vaporizer for op because the heat from smoking degrades many of the compounds while only vaporizing a few. I've never tried opiates before nor did I want to, at the same time I don't know if now me and my friend are feeling a sort of placebo effect..

So my questions are has anyone had experience with this type of cut hash, or vaping raw opium for that matter. Is there any conventional and cheap way to test it at home?

Op needs to be eated or vaped to be efficient that's why I don't know that it could be into hash (most part of the morocco hasch is smoked in france) and I think it's too expensive for hasch manufacturers.

Op smell really special and it's difficult to hide it and when you heat it it become sticky...

I heard lot of storys about op in hasch, it's more a legend in my mind that the true and your morocco hasch is like many others (clear into and black or brown outside, o2 effect)

The better test is to find somebody who had already test op, he'll recognize the taste, or a people who needs the effect of the op can help you to know if this it is...

it's a myth...good hashish will always turn dark on the outside and stay golden brown inside...I personally found one of the best ways to check hashish for their quality was playing around with them, squishing them into balls, braking them up again and rerolling them and so on. Result being the oil comes to the outside making it more dark coloured, yet the inside keeps its colour.

I'm gonna try and find a friend with op experience and see what they think. I think it's a good time to mention that I paid an inordinate amount of money for this hash on the presumption that it was of the utmost quality. Even now looking back at the post I wrote last night there was clearly more than thc effecting my brain. You guys are reassuring me but then else I read about commonality of op hash else where online and that kind if worries me. Is there anything I can order online to test the hash? So far my Internet searches are only coming up with the other type of drug testing kits ( urine, hair, etc)

That's one of the main ways we smoke it, roll it up into a nice thin "snake" roll one end of the snake just slighty around the middle of a q tip so it hangs down perfectly. Then place the qtip in a regular drink glass a couple inches down from the top (you need a glass wide enough to fit the qtip but narrow enough to keep it in place) you light the end of the snake that isn't tied and then blow it out when u have a cherry, you throw a cd case over the glass to collect the smoke, and everytime the glass fills you hit it and repeat, the smoke is greyish(?)

You can always buy a drug test kit and pee into it. Youve obviously used this hash, so if you have consumed opiates with it, it should show up on the drug screen. Just be sure to get a test that looks for opiates not just MJ.

That being said, I bet if anything, it has some crappy adulterant in it (not opium).

Why bother? Do you really want your doctor to find some strange drug in your urine? Not saying there is anything there, but you already smoked it. Unless you get a home test kit or go to an anonymous clinic, I can't see the point other than to have a doctor look at you strange, and possibly make a notation on your file.

You probably got a strain with a higher CBD to THC ratio. Keep in mind hash is a more concentrated form of cannabis. Native strains to morocco, afghanistan, pakistan, india etc. are the REAL deal Kush's. These are the indica heavyweights that will droop your eyelids and have you sinking into the couch. In fact, the feeling is probably as close to a narcotic that exists in nature ... maybe with the exception of Kratom.

Opium as you know contains ~10% of morphine by weight, codeine and all sorts of other alkaloids. If you really think what you purchase may contain a narcotic you are best going by clinical definitions. After consuming this product...

Are you itchy?
Are your pupils constricted?
Do you experience a wakeful resting state in which you can't really sleep but nod in and out?

As Havelock said "why is someone going to adulterate your cannabis with a more expensive product?" Especially since most opium overseas is converted into morphine base which is converted into diacetylmorphine AKA Heroin. Drug producers overseas get more money for H and is is easier for them to smuggle it.

In conclusion - I highly doubt what you have was cut with opium. But it could be a possibility, I'm not that arrogant to be like "No way man, you didn't get that" But I believe the odds lean more toward you prolly just got some GEN-U-WINE heavy-hitter concentrated indica goodness.

I wouldn't say anyone is arrogant for saying "no way"...chances of getting opium laced hash are very, very very slim. Especially without paying a serious premium for it. Basically, you would know what you were getting. It's not like adding some cheap and dangerous research chem...or shoe polish...now that is the shit people should be mindful of.

I would actually prefer folks don't make the typical assumption that it was laced with opium...just makes everything seem so dubious...and it's the last thing we need.

I guess I threw that out there because people make those BS repeated claims like

Ever heard of Opium cured Hash? You got all the opiates with it. Have a blast with it. I don't know much about it but Daryl wouldn't mind having it. I haven't had any but apparently it's pricey.

Someone tried to pawn off moldy hash as opium laced hash .
Because it had beige streaks running thru it .

But I know , we both Don't missed the Fuckin ' Seeds ' !
Sometimes , out of an ounce , I would get 4 grams worth of seeds after separating .
O ya , remember separating/sifting seeds from buds , Fuckin Fun times ....not .
The young uns today have it soooooo good , at least they get their bang for their buck .
