I would never want to stick to just flower or just concentrates. I get a MUCH wider array of effects from flower than oil usually and the flower high always lasts much longer. I do love some good concentrate once in a while though.

Do you know any scientific reason explaining why concentrate's high is shorter, though I didn't notice that with kief or hash, only with bho.....?

This isn't scientific by any means but my best guess is that butane only extracts a certain range of cannabinoids or whatever you would call it.

Actually that is very scientific and accurate. It's very difficult to properly extract the full spectrum of actives by using solvents. That said, it is possible to target specific actives with different methods and materials when running concentrate... unfortunately this is outside the scope of most DIY guys and your average extract artist running anything other than top of the line equipment and using state of the art techniques.
