Yes you just need something safe to house the heater mesh and a screen.I can't get it fixed because shipping from Bangladesh would be a messed up task. The glass inside the heater fell out and broke so I just have a thing with holes that heats. Is there any way I can turn it back into a vaporizer without the glass innards?
Yup, go with the 19/22 Chinese joints from Mountain Glass for the V2. The clear joint will fit better than the colored joints due to a slight difference in the shape of the lip on the glass. However, both are doable. You can see the Z v2 I just repaired with one of the amber glass joints. The lip sticks up a bit, which I kind of like the look of. The glass also doesn't fit quite as flush with the wood before gluing, which I'm hoping doesn't cause durability issues down the road. But if you're starting fresh and don't care about the color of the glass, I would definitely recommend the clear 19/22 joint for a better fit.
Triangular diamond coated needle file with a drop of water. I.e. get the file wet under the tab and apply some drops of water onto the joint, where you want to cut it. Now file a groove all around, applying more water, when needed. Once you've cut through at one point, the glass might further crack along the stress line of the groove (if it doesn't, just keep filing away). At this point, carefully break away the remaining parts. Then get some wet/dry 80 grit sandpaper, get it wet and rotate the cut section of the joint on it, till smooth. Repeat with 120 and 240 grit.Yup, but it will have to be cut down to size.. still thinking about the best way to do that. Any ideas anybody?
