I don't normally write poems or anything at all for that matter but something came over me last night after taking a few dabs and I just felt like writing. I kinda like how it turned out so I thought I'd share it with you guys to see what you think. It's really just about the fucked up world we live in today and how the government wants to keep us in the dark about it. Some of you will probably see it as pretty immature and uninformed and that's fine. I'm not saying it's great I just want to share it. 
Take away the guns, says everyone
Who wants to destroy you
Wants to employ you.
Wants you to fight in their wars and exploit you.
Want you to bow
Want you to give in
Be completely unaware of the times that we live in.
Want you to die.
Want you to cry.
Not bat an eye when ten citizens die
On the sidewalk
Because they "wouldn't comply."
At the hands of a guy
Who didn't have one friend
Figured why not be a cop
Maybe his troubles would end
Want you to scream
Want you to gleam
Over that new blood washed diamond ring on a screen
While six brown teens are beamed with EEDs - Are we free?
Want you to give in
Even more than you've given
Blind yourself to these times that we live in
Destroy your ambition - it's prison.
Want you to hide.
Want you to side.
Want you to make other skin colors die.
Want you to fight with each other
Even your brother
Want to turn me against you and hope there's an issue.
Want me to trick you.
Want me to twist you, bend you and strip you.
Rip you of your morals, script you, forget you.
Want to make up a story about Rick and Cory
Blowing up a building
Better make sure it's gory.
So the people will panic, stay sick and frantic.
Race to the drug store and buy some more Xanax.
Screaming of liberty when this cop just stuck a shiv in me.
Want to keep us in darkness so the world won't ever progress.
They want us to obsess.
They want us to digress.
They want to trick our minds
And send shivers down our spines
So that we never can divine
The truth that they try and hide.
