I feel that good brownies > good cookies

I have eaten high quality cookies of all types and I have eaten some of the best brownies money can buy. You cannot tell me that the top cookie in the world can hold a candle to the best brownies. Brownies are thick, moist, and damn near cake like. Yes, cookies are good sometimes but are very dry and thin. Brownies are where it's at

that depends if you are talking normal homemade choc chip cookies OR the Americas Test Kitchen's "World's Best Choc Chip Cookie" recipe.
They blow away all brownies. Maybe 20+ steps including mixing the wet ingredients 5 times and resting 10 minutes in between each stir. 15 minutes of melting/ stirring/browning just the butter for nutty flavor.
