If it's the latter, then Big Tobacco should not be worried about losing their monopoly. As long as they own the tobacco fields, they will still be kings of the hill. But maybe I'm just being naive...

That's not the direction they're taking. For the time being, Big Pharma is actively fighting against any form of legalization including medical. They are also engaging in hypocrisy but in a much bigger way: they are opposing cannabis in favour of their own pain-killers because their proprietary drugs are far more profitable than anything they can make from cannabis. Trying to monopolize cannabis will be a fall-back strategy.

Right now, American Big Tobacco is barely in the picture. The nicotine for e-cigs is mostly supplied by sources like China and Japan. It's not clear at all that Big Tobacco can establish and hold the market without federal regulation. It's also not clear that the profits from extracted nicotine can replace the losses as consumers move away from cigarettes. There's also the quitters effect: many people are using e-cigs to reduce or cease nicotine consumption. Big Tobacco obviously doesn't like that.

Thanks to my e-cig I haven't bought a pack of smokes in 3 months. I love vaporizing my tobacco as much as my cannabis. I can vape as much as I smoked before for pennies compared to dollars. Big tobacco must be learning the hard way that the behind the counter disposable e-cigs are in no way as desirable as mods and refillable atty tanks. Just like the internet killed the newspaper industry, electronic cigs will kill the cigarette industry.

My niece switched from cigarettes to my Thermovape AVA. She finally wore it out and ordered a V2 Pro Series 3. Well its been slow to ship and for over a week she has had nothing and she is not having any major cravings or issues. Some small headaches but that is it. This puts her in the drivers seat, not the nicotine, which she has been steadily reducing when buying new juices. So ecigs can help people quit which is another reason they need to be banned immediately . . .

Your forum name sums up what it does for me, well not everyday but weeks, months and a couple few years that if i didn't have W2s or credit card statements I'd have no idea of where i was or what i was doing during that time.

Now If I drank I would probably just turn yellow and die. So I don't. I really don't care if other people around me drink these days and can go to bars ,clubs and partys with no problem.

Naw, not really strength, just somehow as fucked up as my life and I were I still had (and somehow most days still have) the desire to stay alive.
