How to remove the smell from weed?

I got a serious problem. Over thanksgiving I got some very good weed, but the thing is it smells like skunk's scent glands. I have it locked up in a mason jar which does wonders containing the smell (though not completely), but as soon as I open it the shit just pours out like fog from the Ark of the Covenant. My neighbor came over the other day (he's a stoner too) about 30 seconds after I opened the jar to give me a heads up that it reeked outside. Everytime I have just been doing really quick smoke session, followed by purifying the room is ozium. But in about a week I'm going to be packing up all my stuff and be heading back to my hometown, which includes putting away the weed. I can keep it in the mason jar for now, but I was wondering if there was anyway I could take away the scent or at least drastically reduce it of the bud itself. I'm really petrified getting caught with it while moving (I'm not exaggerating when I say it stinks like hell), I might even just toss the rest of it before I got home if I can't get it not to smell.

Any suggestions?

Also how do I get rid of at least the smell on my instruments (bong, water pipe and magic flight) as they stink too

I think you are sol on keeping the weed smell contained. Maybe get a small carbon filter or ozone generator. Those are the only ways I know to properly "kill" a smell. For the bong just wash it in isopropyl. The mflb you will probably have to keep in a container since you can't clean it.

Yeah, there's really nothing you can do aside from what's already been listed here. :\

Maybe you could try keeping it pre-ground so you could quickly transfer it between the container and whatever device you're using.

Go for a walk to smoke that dank. I'd open it outside if there is a reason to not smell like the funk. I broke up a joint and without even lighting it and people coming in and out we got kicked out the hotel back home. The chick was sure we had smoked.

Grind it all up outside. It'll be deteriorating faster, but after being open for a while and ground up you really lose a lot of the smell.

If the smell is really a huge risk, the best way I can think of to get rid of it good enough(if you are willing) is to lightly heat it in the oven at a really low temp for a short amount of time, to cook off the terpenes.. Maybe ~175F for ~5-10mins (as needed), to your liking... It will KILL the FLAVOR more the longer you leave it in.. Also, it will smell like dank while you are cooking off the terpenes.. I would rather risk being caught w/ smelly herb, but out where I am it's not a very big deal.

For the smell from the bong.. you have to clean it good:shrug:
For the MFLB, there isn't much you can do other than clean the screen.. you can find Youtube how-to videos for that.

Wrap it up in parchment paper or glassine paper before putting it in the mason jar. Glassine is air, oil, and water proof paper that you can get in the art section on amazon.com

When you're breaking up the bud you should have a good air cleaner. Rabbitair makes a good air cleaner that sense odor in the air and turn on when sensed. Plus its really quiet.

EDIT: If you get the rabbitair, only turn on the negative ion generator to get rid of the odor fast. Once finished turn it off so you dont get ozone build if you us it in a small room with little ventilation. The rabbitair makes very little ozone but I don't want to take any chance of build up thats why I recommend only using it when really needed.

Also get the toxins absorber filter because it will trap the volatine terpenoids that you are worried about, very well.

you all never heard of water curing? take a bud immerse it in a bowl of water(make sure the bud is submerged, weigh it down if you need to) then leave it for a day , change the water and leave for another day, dry it out,,,,(drys super quick) takes all the smell away even when smoked, and retains all the thc

and also check all the nasty shit that comes out in the water

Decarbing is going to make your entire home smell like a grow op for about a day. Terpenes and flavinoids come out at relatively low temps.
