exactly
The method you describe is good when vaping without moisture because too big of a hit will dry out your lungs and throat creating cough but if you have some moisture either from a water filter or a bud having good moisture in it already like a good cigar, holding in hits gives a good affect.Hippie Dickie said:Lately, it has occurred to me that holding the hit in the lungs is a waste, since most of the vapor will be inside the bag, without touching the surface area of the lungs, where the drug transfer takes place. i think of the vapor inside a volcano/ion bag -- the inside surface of the bag gets sticky from condensed vapor -- and that is what you want to have happen inside your lungs.
So i think exhaling a little and then inhaling to stir the contents of the lungs will get more vapor against the surface and infused into the lungs. This may take 20 seconds or so.
A seven minute session uses about 12 to 14 hits.
Thats what I do. I take one long slow deep hit, and hold it for 20-30 seconds then I slowly exhale if I start to taste anything sweet or fruity I know I am exhaling vapor so I re-inhale (just air) in mid exhale if this happens. This ensures I dont waste any valuable vapor. If you see fairly thick vapor when you exhale then IMO you are exhaling to soon or sucking back way more vapor then your lungs can absorb at once. Dont forget that one of the aspects we are now vaping (besides for better health) is to maximize our herbs and not waste them.vap999 said:Rather than holding it long, try rebreathing -- exhale the useless (never to be absorbed) vapor in your throat and upper respiratory system, a good portion of your lung capacity, and suck down some fresh air which will end up mixing with the leading stream of vapor you inhaled. And if efficiency of consumption is important, take shorter hits and then suck each down deeply by inhaling regular air.
The dude can hold monster hits with the best of 'em, but the smoke is yellow because of the bong glass, yellow walls, and lighting in their room. Even the water has a yellow hue. The smoke wouldn't stay that yellow the whole time anyway. As the bowl burns down it'll always go white. I don't know why they commented on it in the video when they should have known it was because of the glass and yellow light.luchiano said:Check this out to see a PERFECT Ironlung from an old man(doesn't he remind you of Walt from "Breaking Bad"?)
from yellow milk to nothing!
