Hi everyone,

I am completely new to the world of Vaping and have never done it before.

A friend of mine recommended the DaVinci vaporizer, I am looking for a compact easy to use stealthy unit that can last.

Would this be a good Vape for a first timer ?

How is the quality of materials used ?

There is many better options on the market now, read around the forum theres many portable advice threads in "ASK FC"

Some to check out: Haze, Arizer Air, Flowermate, Pax 2.

Have never used this DaVinci but I do own a DaVinci Ascent among other vapes. My take is you should look at other options. The model you are looking at is 2 years old and better stuff has come out since. I also wouldn't recommend the Ascent... its fine but there are better options.

Off the cuff I would recommend the Arizer Air as an alternative. Its rugged, reliable, and portable. And I just saw on another thread that its going for $169 on PuffItUp...which is cheaper than the DaVinci.

But since you are now on FC you should do your own research. Others that I've used and would recommend are Crafty/Mighty (best performing portable right now IMO) and the Pax2 (also costs more but is the stealthiest out there).

I believe The original Davinci is still a good first portable for someone new to vaping if you find it cheap enough, I wouldn't pay more then $130 for it these days with the large selection of vapes that have come to market since it was introduced though. Mine was a strong performer for a couple of years and saw a whole lot of use, now the battery life is diminished enough that it gets used rarely these days but it still performs fabulously even though it only gives me 2 full sessions off a charge.

Welcome to Fuckcombustion. The best vaporizing info site on the net. It's a very nice community of friendly and knowledgeable folks.

I don't own the original Davinci unit pictured but I own the Ascent. It's a nice enough vaporizer but I don't know about stealth, kinda big for stealth. The Ascent has nice flavor and you can dial in your exact temp that you prefer. I like the all glass air path that the Ascent provides. I like using the GonG as a mouthpiece, I have s glass and a wooden piece that I like to use, it's nice to switch it up and use the wood too. It has a fairly large oven so getting the spacers would be wise. IMO They should include the spacers when you buy the vaporizer.

For a stealth, flavorful vaporizer think about the Arizer Air. It's very easy to operate right out of the box with user replaceable batteries. It will always be ready when you are.

There are several vaporizers that have come out since the original Davinci. Do your homework and read up about the vaporizer that will best fit your needs. What might work for me may not be right for you.

Vaporizing is the way to go if you want to use cannabis in a healthy way.

I've had this model-used one for years, and the real problem with it is the mouthpiece design. You need to constantly remove and clean the mouthpiece connection, otherwise it'll get sealed with residue and you'll end up ruining the mouthpiece trying to get it off.

Just get one of the Flowermate models from Puffitup.com. It's basically the same design but much easier to clean/maintain. I say this from experience. You'll get a great price and service (including warranty coverage) from Randy at puffitup and much less hassle from the vape.
