Yeah, It's just my humble opinion.

I don't often use a portable at home, since most of my vaping takes place in one location, but battery powered vaping in the house does come in handy once in a while.

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
I use my Crafty portable out and about and for quiet times at home.

My main vape is a Volcano which is always hot and ready to go.

iOlite for a power cut or zombie apocalypse.

Both but 95% at home and the only vapes I got are the MFLB and the Vaponic. I've never used the Vaponic outside, it looks too wierd with a torchlighter :)
But it's crazy I used to be a daily smoker and these days a MFLB with 4 Glyphs are enough to get me as high as I want and sometimes I use the Vaponic if I want to do a fast but full session. Haven't smoked since a long time

only use The Cube at home, and all over the place, but usually in "my chair" in the video consumption pod.

i find 90 seconds to the first hit is as instant-on as i require, but it is a session vape so i'm usually down for a dozen hits before it times out.

works for me.

I used to only when out and about, but some of these newer portables work as good as desktops, It used to be I can't wait to get back to my E-nano because they just won't anything near that level, i'm not going to name any but I'm glad they've changed for the better.

I'll use any device anywhere it's convenient. My Persei and 8 get a lot of use at home AND out and about. Sometimes I'll plug the Persei into the wall, often I just rock batteries at home.

I've actually recently sold off my Solo (with Ed's shorty stem/wong and Pipe's AIO stand/power adapter) and Persei's (with basically every attachment known to man!), so my only portable atm is a Minicron with a couple of KISS globes for oils.

I wouldn't use anything else, this is the simplest, most convenient way to do dabs on the go. I'll use this in front of anybody, anywhere. I do not use the minicron at home, as I have a quartz D-Nail and Sublimator which are infinitely better when you can tether yourself to the wall.

I don't have a portable for flowers yet, the Solo just couldn't keep up with me on portable flower duty!

I only ever used it in PA mode because otherwise the heater cannot keep up with large draws. The battery life (older model) was also completely lackluster. Also draw resistance is absolutely unforgivable in the early model Solo, and whilst this is improved in the newer Solo's I've used, it still frustrates me. I think the solo is great for the majority of vapists, but it doesn't suit my needs. Too much time and effort to spend a bowl and doesn't let me spend a bowl super quick which is something I really require when shit gets busy! I need heavy hitting vapes only, and anything less is just gonna gather dust whilst I go back to combustion :/

I have recently determined that the Mighty is the portable which will suit me best for flowers. It has me covered for clouds in a portable like no other and is the only portable flower vape that won't leave me frustrated at lack of battery life. It is pocketable (unlike many say, I actually got a member to post a pic of it in their jeans pocket and it will fit!), but only just.

But I like it!
My only portable for the longest time was a Vapor NO2, but it's more an around the house or camping style, at least for me. I've had an Inhalater 05 for the past couple of months and it's in my shirt pocket loaded up and ready to go most of the time. I'm loving the portability and freedom, and could easily use it at home, too, but picked up a log vape for home use. And just ordered the water tool attachment for the inh, meaning it will get more inside use as well... I'm conflicted...

I voted only out and about, but there are some exceptions.
usually whenever I want to vape at home, my UD is already warmed up, or I have plenty of time to wait for it to warm up, since usually if I want to vape I'm not in a hurry. but sometimes I have situations like when I come home late, drunk and/or stoned, my UD isn't on and I just want a quick vape-session before going to sleep.

or it's nice weather and I want to sit on the balcony with a cup of coffee/tea and a filled vape, but I don't want to go trough the effort of plugging my UD into the outlet closest to the window, placing the vvps on the windowsill and placing the UD outside(could also be that it's nice weather, but looks like it could start to rain soon, so with the UD outside I would have to hurry to get it inside while with my portable, a DV, I could just cover it with my hand and step inside if it starts raining too much)

Ive yet to try any table top vapes except for the volcano when I was in the 'Dam, so my portables have always been dual purpose. Heat up time on Solo/No2 has never been enough to bother, just start it up, start preparing herbs, done with both at the same time. With the MFLB though, I found the PA and Orbiter turn it into a convertible  One minute Im plugged into the wall, next Im gliding around as far as the batts will take me

All 5 of mine are pretty much retired. Im not willing to risk my freedom over marijuana anymore by vaping while out of my house. Ill still use the hammer some times while at the house though just to mix it up but I dont even touch the others anymore. My other 4 (solo, pnp, fowermate 5.0s, indica) just dont hit hard enough to warrant using while at home.

I have all portables. I use my Solos as a desktop, I have three but only use the 2 newer models because I like the increased airflow. Usually I charge one and use the other. I like using something small. I don't like a big contraption when I vaporize, I like the convenience and ease that I get with a portable. I'm not tethered to a cord either.

I use my Arizer Air or my Indica when I'm walking on the trail. I use my Ascent in the evenings curled up on the couch late at night. I have the No. 2 that I no longer use, but still want to keep. It was my first portable.

I have a couple Pinnacle Pros I no longer use due to poor materials that they're made of. They are both cracking at the mouthpiece.

I'm always looking for the next portable. If the Mighty wasn't so expensive I maybe would buy one. I will see if the price comes down. By then there will be another one that I will have my eye on.

Well, right now I'm visiting my parents and vaporizing with the Solo. So it's used for travel, and going out to parties. I also will usually bust out the Solo w/ a friend instead of da Buddha unless I've got a group over. I've also got a Firewood that's never used, I also hardly use the Magic Flight anymore either. Spoiled by convection.

For having a vape on 24/7 I had my Cloud EVO on a programmable timer. It ran like that for months on end non stop. It is now unplugged and put away. Mighty rules my world now with Crafty as a nice backup.

Always have a backup plan . . .

These new S&B portables have changed my life. I can travel to hotels and family now and have my entire vapor lab in a small camera case. Amazing. Nevada has MMJ reciprocity. Vegas baby. Crafty for restaurants and shows.

99% of the time I will use my EVO at home, and my solo for the road or roaming around the house. However when I had my extreme q I would hook it up in my car when I go on road trips. Looking back I probably should have just used the solo.
