How did you first learn FC existed? What brought you here?

I had my first vapor hit at the end of 2007 from a Volcano and knew I wanted one. I researched for months trying to figure out what to buy, and there was shit for info on the web. The Extreme had just come out and I wanted it, but knew nothing of the tech, etc.

I found this forum with one or two threads started by vtac (one of them on his SSV) and no one else chiming in, so I said what the fuck and joined. vtac was nice enough, mature enough and smart enough to help me out even though he didn't have the Extreme. He was able to show me that it was the same tech in the SSV, so it was a proven method.

From there it was all about the Extreme. FC was the only place on the web talking about it and people were looking for info on it. We had marcuss (Spain) and cleardome (Canada) for a good couple of months I think before we got any other members. I can get obsessive about things and still remember that my daily routine was to check in here and read everything. For a good two or three years I had read everything on here, and then it just blew up!

If I weren't checking in here all the time I would probably be a fantasy football god by now instead!

due to circumstances beyond my control (that in itself is a long story), i started vaporizing cannabis in 2000 ... and started making the first version of the Bud Toaster in 2001.

looking for input i somehow found Over Grow with its 300,000 members - not all of them active accounts, of course, but none the less a fuckton of heads.

Then in 2006, OG got taken down by the mounties (!) - somebody evidently pissed somebody else off - and i felt devastated. i never realized how much i had invested in an online community until their server didn't respond.

Like, wtf? then slowly, over several days, i learned what happened and ended up at Planet Ganja for a spell. A fun group and having a few sections that were a bit less moderated than FC ... it was an eye-opening experience: becoming so enraged by some bullshit text that appears on the screen.

but there was never enough interest in vaporizers.

then i found FC ... i felt i had some information to share and vtac said it was okay to post a thread.

I actually wanted to get into vaping from the very start, but could never afford it- so I was smoking for almost 3 years.. I kinda forgot about it, but the thought did cross my mind every once in a while.
Then randomly one day an old friend from elementary/middle school days got in contact with me, and it turned out he basically did what I had wanted to- started with vapes- only he'd been vaping for about 2 or 3 years already. So long story short; I tried his Plenty, and his dads Volcano- I was pretty much converted immediately.
So one day we were hanging out hitting the Plenty, and reading a QWISO technique on FC. I'd always loved seeing different applications of different tech, so it was an easy step to just remember "fuckcombustion" for when i got home. So I signed up, posted a little bit, and it just.. stuck..

I found FC through Google. Wondered if other Ascent users were posting anywhere about its draw resistance. Mine came from a local vape shop, recommended by the salesman. I had decided to try vaporizing but didn't know anything about vaporizers or anyone who used one.

FC, and one member in particular, helped me a lot. I visit the site often, especially when vaping. Folks here are nice. :nod:

I was into vaping thc oil and watered down thc oil. I forgot what company it was, but I remember I wanted to know more about a strain called Dragon's Breath because it was the one hitter quitter I had been looking for in oils. Since they had all varied in strength. Google said this place had a thread about organalabs I think it was, and I registered and started posting.

I was familiar with vaping pens but I eventually picked up a flowermate v1 and it was an okay vape. It doesn't really hit now that I think about it. It is for light to medium smoke creation. I found the cheap bubbler thread too and ordered some things for dabbing and that was about it.

I'm happy with the knowledge this place has provided me and the purchases I've made through here have also made me happy.

I'm a lurker so I don't think I've made a whole lot of friends. I tried hanging out in IRC the first few days. I'm real friendly though so just hit me up with whatever if you ever want to talk.

This place feels like home already.

Found my way here after I learned of the health benefits of vaping.

Spent way too long reading about all the different vapes which were available at the time. Ended up building my own after I couldn't really find one that suited me.

Then I bought a HI and an oil pen, then some miron glass, many different grinders - it got out of hand.

But FC is by far the best vapour community on the net, full of extremely knowledgeable people.

I was on the early wait-list for the ascent but balked when it came time to buy.......later as i was researching places to find a good "bong" to do dabs with,i kept seeing the letters FC over on grasscity,where i lurked for several months but never signed up.......took me awhile but i finally figured it out and lurked over here for a bit until i bought my solo last November......Love Love Love this place......i quit smoking cigs a few months ago so ive joined a few ecig groups on facebook....most are full of know it all jerk offs that make me appreciate FC 100x more.......

A couple of months ago, I was sitting on my porch, happily combusting. And then I randomly decided I wanted to buy a vaporizer (never tried one before). So I went to Grasscity to look up some info. Many users there suggested something called "FC" and the rest is just history;)

This is my story as well...after purchasing some accessories from MFLB I kept seeing mention of this site so I clicked on the link and the rest is history. I'm like most men and enjoy having toys to play with and this Forum opened up my eyes to the benefits of having more gadgets to play with. Of course after buying a few...my pockets became empty but such is life!!!

As the Fabulous Fury Freak Brothers' would say, "dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no dope!!!"

I've been reading this site since 2008ish, didn't create an account until about 2 years ago. I discovered the concept of vaporizing back when I used to use my hookah for indulging in recreational weed; smoking mj straight would give me horrific coughing fits and pain in my chest and I vastly preferred the smoother smoke of the shisha coupled with the effects of the nicotine therein. I had two friends who also enjoyed weed but it wasn't until I borrowed a volcano from one of them that I realized how much more pleasant vaping was, overall.

Hopping online to learn more was a rather sordid affair until I found this place...as I'm sure you guys have found similarly, the other major forums surround mj use are rife with misinformation, baseless speculation, and infantile fanboy behavior. It was difficult to find a good starting point to educate myself about the different types of vapes out there, techniques and processes, but on one forum, in one post, someone made a reference to a "fuck combustion site", I found this place and said good riddance to the rest.

Every now and again I'll look for other sites and occasionally I'll find some decent ones, but the knowledgable, friendly user base here can't be beat! :love:

I joined FC the first day I bought my DBV, and read every single post in Da Buddha Thread before posting anything.

I had previously heard great things about this site and all the fantastic members with a strong tight-knit community, with a ton of knowledge to share.

Reading through that whole DBV Thread, I realized the passion, caring and sharing mannerisms brought forth by many different members.

I'm a member of many many Cannabis Forums, and the damn bickering and misinformation that is a constant on many sites, makes FC a very refreshing means of connecting with new friends.

I do not take part in any other Social Media other than Cannabis Boards, and I have to say FC is the classiest Forum out there.

I'm so very grateful to have found this site, members have already made me feel like I'm part of the Family...

By far the best Moderaters ...best members, and solid information without hidden agendas.

I love this Site, and plan on being here for a long time:D

Hi everyone, this is my first online post ever - hope i don't do any thing wrong, lol

I discovered fc in about 2009 while lurking on a site for (mostly)girls with curly hair: how random is that? I'd never heard of vaporising before and was instantly fascinated. Over the years i collected a dbv, ha, mflb and an extreme q but still struggled with quitting combusting. My tolerance was too high and i'd fallen into the habit of smoking cones (mj + tobacco) all day every day so vaping just didn't do it for me.

Despite this i had come to really hate combusting and desperately wanted to switch to only vaping. It just didn't seem like it would be possible for me.

It was the good people of fc (that's you guys & girls!) who helped me realise what needed to be done.

I'm now on the 10th day of my 15 day t-break and come monday evening i will become a vaporist who no longer uses tobacco in any form. I had to create an account so i could thank everyone for the many threads that have helped me in this journey.

I also want to be part of this community which is imo the best mj site on the net with mature, helpful and generally awesome members and mods. I'm so glad to finally be here!

I agree this site is really a breath of fresh air sorta speak as far as the internet social groups go.

So many wonderful people who give of themselves everyday with a kind word or solving a major vaporizing problem. Not too many out there in the real world can answer these questions. Vaporizing cannabis seems to still be in its infancy in the cannabis world.

Glad you found us, welcome to the fun and craziness. There's no other place like it.:lmao::leaf::rofl:

The first vaporizer I triend was a mates dads volcano and straight away knew I needed a vape. I started researching and kept coming across interesting FC threads.

I bought an extreme q and kept lurking around and researching other vapes.

Once I felt like i had something to say I signed up and started posting. I didn't realise how much I would come to love this community!
