Horrible fucking movies

I looked forward to seeing the movie Gravity (2013) and it had so much hype I was thinking how fantastic it must be. It was a let down to me. It had everybody's sweetheart Sandra Bullock and George Clooney I thought for sure I would enjoy it. It even recieved some awards but I didn't think it held up to the hype. Kinda like some of the new vaporizers out there. They can't live up to the hype.

I'm sure plenty folks really liked it but it didn't hold a candle to a movie like Stand By Me. Even with all the special effects. I thought it wasn't a very good plot. Maybe it just didn't appeal to me.

I haven't seen Gravity. It seemed like it would be really boring.

Pixels.

Ever since the disaster Jack and Jill, I have an unhealthy interest in Adam Sandler's "work". Will be checking this out the second it hits redbox.

"Nobody expects much from Sandler's films, but Pixels is a grim reminder that they could always be even worse…Even Q*bert seems embarrassed having to act alongside him."Popular Mechanics

"Of course, calling Pixels one of Sandler's better movies is like calling a particular strain of Ebola somewhat less horrifically painful; either way, it's not pleasant."—Las Vegas Weekly

"This movie feels as though Sandler walked on set straight from his trailer, read his lines off a cue-card, then went back to sleep. At every turn, his indifference to the material is palpable."io9

"As executed, it's like Contact meets Armageddon meets sticking knives into my eyes."The Verge, who aptly titled their piece "Adam Sandler Must Be Stopped."

And MovieBob had a big problem with Pixels (even more NSFW):

I have tried watching Adam Sandler's movies but hated them. I didn't like him on SLN either. When he came on I wanted to change the channel. I tried to give him a chance when he pursued movies but I just don't like him. I don't like Cameron Diaz either and I think she's homely.

There's certain actors that I just don't like.

Edit
I don't like Tom Cruise anymore personally so it's hard for me to separate the person from the character. Anybody involved in Scientology I can't take serious, it turns me off even an actor. Also John Travolta I can't watch his stuff anymore, I used to really like him.

After Tom Cruise jumped on Oprah's sofa on her TV program some years back I've labeled him a nut case. Then when I heard all the Scientology stuff, I won't be watching Mission Impossible, let's put it that way.

Most movies are like music and favorite colors- very subjective. A movie with no production values, bad writing and acting, is usually universally viewed as a "horrible" one, but if you hate a movie that's been popular with many viewers and at least some critics, it's more likely a matter of taste instead of quality.

Phenomenon - pick a plot twist, do not pick three

A Polish Vampire in Burbank is so bad, it is almost good, and certainly warrants Mystery Science Theatre attention

Grand Canyon - I did not understand why people loved it, I thought it was drek. I think some people mistake artsy fartsy with skilled filmaking

The Stuff - so bad, it really is good and I am adding it here for fans of B movies, horror/sci-fi

The Holiday - the half with Cameron Diaz and Beauty-Boy. Truly dreadful. Jack Black and Kate Winslet made their sections watchable.

Autumn in New York - do I need to elaborate?

The most disappointing movie I have seen in a long time was man of steel! Zack Snyder is the greatest evil this world has seen as far as I'm concerned now!

Funny/bad. Don't expect too much, but I think it's a gem.

"Water? Like out of the toilet?"

"Don't worry, scrote. There are plenty of 'tards out there living really kick-ass lives. My first wife was 'tarded. She's a pilot now."

I saw Fantastic Four this week-end. Didn't think much of it, it seemed long but at the same time thrown together in a strange way. :hmm: Honestly, I just had a much better time watching Minions.:rofl:

I hear what you're saying, although I thought him shaking fuck out of opera was hilarious! I can't stand actors who are extremely liberal left, ruins their movies for me.

Sorry to be a grammar nazi but horrible and terrible aren't the same word ;)

Anyway terrible movies ... lord of the rings 2?

They made a movie about a kid that has food explode/rise out his hands...like wtf.
Did start laughing at it when I was really high, however.

^almost watched that for family movie night, ended up seeing furry vengence with brendan fraser and while it could easily be ranked as a moderately horrible movie it was at least watchable with kids...and some funny/cringe scenes.
