yeah, the joints are a little sloppy, but damn. overnight simple green didn't cut it either, and the seller won't respond. opened an "issue" on aliexpress. kudos to your luck hah.

probably about 2 weeks. once hit hits the states, it will take a couple days for the sorting facility to get it out to you. the epacket tracking site helps.

i have not tried those yet. I can't see the brown from above or below, only from the side, so it appears to be on the walls of the holes?

the brown is common on the chinese discs, its rust like stain that WONT come off

i've tried acid/clr/flaming the hell out of it

but it doesnt seem to effect performance

as far as the welds - they aren't great but for the price? its tits

I've had mine for about a month and I would say it's worth the money, but at the same time, you get what you pay for. I agree with most of you guys that the disc sits a bit higher than I would like, and that causes it to have more of a chug than I like, but it still makes bubbles like crazy.

Filtration - 8/10
Quality - 6/10

Final thoughts: Best bang for your buck if you're looking for something to make a lot of bubbles.

Quick question: Can anybody give me a suggestion on what attachment to use with this ashcatcher and a 14mm dewar 12 arm bubbler?

If I'm reading this right, the only thing you might need is an 18mmf -> 14mm male adapter. If the one you order has an 18mm male it won't fit the 14 bubbler, but if you order the 14mm it will with no extras.

Depending on the diameter of the bubbler body, the distance between the rear male joint and the ashcatcher body might be too small and require an adapter to clear the bubbler body. Otherwise, why not just get the:

14mm Ashcatcher

It is 50c cheaper than the 18mm anyway. ;)

Would an extended 45° 14mm male to 14mm female work joint? Or would that be too much pressure for the 45° joint to handle, the weight of the ash catcher and bowl that is.

Bubbles aren't brown, but, as jhan stated, it doesn't affect performance, and it still might be safe. :\

There's a lot of variables. It would depend on the quality of the 45° 14mm male to 14mm female adapter, the quality of the particular ashcatcher you receive, and the quality of the bong (I'm assuming it is since its 45°) its connected to. Any one of the three may or may not give. Its too hard to say with any bit of confidence. It depends how much weight you're putting on the ash catcher too... will your bong even stand upright with that much weight hanging off one side? Even if it does, it makes the bong easier to tip over and therefore more likely to break one, two, or all three of the pieces. It really depends on the quality of each joint that's being stressed.

A man in search of cloudier pastures
Sorry to revive a hella old thread, but I didn't want to start a new one. Also, I'm a newb to honeycombs.

My question is: does the chamber size affect the filtration of the ash catcher?

For example, I am interested in this smaller honeycomb AC. The AC discussed in this thread is appealing to me, but I don't think it will fit my bong due to it's height. It's base will interfere with the base of my bong.

Thanks in advance

I do not think it will affect the filtration. It will, in my experience, interfere with the experience/'quality' of the vapor inhaled. I personally like to keep my 'cans' (aka bongs) as small as possible, giving the vapor as little time as possible to interact with colder air, colder glass walls, and so on. My personal experience is that he longer it takes for the vapor to be inhaled the harsher it gets...just my two cents...

But it will not interfere with the filtration part...
