Hello FC, Tbone again,

Wondering; - what you enjoy about high CBD strains,
- when do you use them (night / day / etc),
- do they taste and smell like "regular" strains (higher Thc : Cbd)

what else can you tell me

EDIT

After vaping CBD Godbud supposed to be 9% THC and 11%CBD, WOW ! This stuff is relaxing and nice, this might be my go to? I'm not sure yet!?

It actually makes me sing BETTER?! because it's SO RELAXING. WOW, how many times can you say "I just smoked something that improves my singing"?

They taste and smell just like any other different strain might....ya know, variances in terpenes and grow conditions.
I like that it takes the intensity down on the thc psychoactive effects. I use it at day and at night. I feel like high cbd helps me with my joints and also has a big calming effect on my anxiety. The anxiety thing is a bit of a build up though through regular usage vs a really good spot treatment.

I like 1:1 ratios of CBD:THC too. It just feels like a clear and focused high. I tend to have fewer lapses of memory - which is sometimes the point of getting elevated and feeling euphoric from THC. My current favorite is called Faith & Hope which is 14.7%THC and 11.4%CBD, from Jude & Lucinda's Hope Springs Permapharm in the Emerald Triangle.

A permaculture pharm? Cool! My cousin is doing one in Kauai.

There was one floating around briefly that a friend sampled that was 1-1 18%, but for some reason it ended up in a bunch of topical beauty products (!). I may have to find another 20% AC/DC and then find a nice purple that's around 20% and blend them.

I have some Medicated Cookies shatter(Good Medicine x Girl Scout Cookies), also a Co2 oil made from the same strain. I also have some C4 flower that tests at 15.73% CBD/ 17.76% CBD-A/ 0.58% THC/ 0.65% THC-A. And a 20-1 CBD -THC tincture. I really like being able to try different ratios, flowers vs oils, etc. Colorado seems to be doing a really good job with CBD strains. I really like the Good Medicine strain created by Bodhi Seeds(One of my favorite breeders). Most CBD strains I have tried do have a cherry-ish flavor. My guess is there is a common terpene profile that must be more prevalent in higher CBD strains.

i'm a california medical patient, have been for about a year and a half. my anxiety, added to a month abroad on klonopin+cannabis combo have made it impossible in the last year to consume regular, high THC cannabis without panic attacks (i was using the klonopin to deal with anxiety to substitute not being able to use weed daily, but of course ended up using both together). nowadays i stick to a 1:1-ish ratio of cbd:thc, so i can relieve most of my symptoms without making my anxiety worse. so i use cbd all the time!

in terms of flavor, even in the SF bay area where i live, i've had only 1 really decent and flavorful high cbd strain (beyond 1:1). the cbd og i had was about 19% cbd and 8% thc if i remember correctly. and it had the most amazing lemony flavor! the various harlequin (usually 1:1) i've had only taste vaguely sweet to me, while acdc (usually ~20% cbd, little to no thc) usually barely has flavor at all.

my go to medicine:
1 UD nylon stem of cbd strain
1 more stem with a regular thc strain
ideally i try to get a 1:1 high, maybe a little more thc if my stress isn't so bad. this way i can make a gram of high thc flower last a long, long time, as i have the luxury of choosing a morning/afternoon/evening flower. this way i get the perfect high for myself and enjoy the flavor of regular bud as well :)

I am actually leaning more towards high CBD strains during the day... I had some lovely Cannatonic that maxed out at 17% CBD and was such a nice tasty treat, very little cerebral effects which is a bonus when you need to do stuff.

Next thing I am starting to play with is using CBD dominant strains to lessen the cerebral effects of other high THC strains. Once I get some high CBD flower again I am going to mix some in with my Hindu Kush to see if I still get the beautiful body effects with my headspace a little more clear.

420 science is so fun! :science:

I have from Aurora, Sentanal 1.4% thc and 17.7% cbd I mix it with sativas and indicas. CBD strains relax me like nothing on earth.
Aurora is a legal producer of cannabis in Canada.

Nice, that's their Cannatonic strain... a few LPs are growing them which is sweet. /end thread hijack

I really enjoy Godbud 3 from my LP - Mettrum. It is great for pain/ inflammation and still gets me high although I do agree that the high is much more clear headed. I typically only consume at night unless I'm really hurting.

I haven't had the best of luck finding a high CBD strain that helped me with sleep and pain. I misread the title as you can see below. We have a few strains as Cashy Honey, Harlequin and some other strains locally. I have seen Charlottes Web. They do sell out quickly so some folks are helped by them. They can be costly too.

Just because they are a Sativa dominate strain such as with a Hybrid doesn't always mean it isn't going to be a couch locker. Gorilla Glue is a Sativa Hyrid and it puts me to sleep at night. It's strong medicine and works like an Indica strain for me. We are all different though. I very seldom use a straight Sativa just because I prefer the Hyrid mixture. I do go with a straight Indica strain.

I've tried several high CBD strains and I would say that that Harlequin is about my favorite so far. On its own, it has a very light pleasant, relaxing high.

I tend to mix my CBD strains with something else for effect. I want CBD in my system for its health benefits. Then if I also want energy for the day I add some energizing Sativa like Super Lemon Haze or super Jack. If it's bed time, I add some Violator Kush, Gorilla Glue or Purple Space Cookies.

I have CBD Remedy and CBD Dream almost ready, so I'll be trying them out in few weeks time. I have no way of knowing the CBD concentration beyond the often trumped up breeder blurbs, but I'm hoping that they will make some nice medicine.

Nice, loving these extra strains to check out. We are a little spoiled then up in Canada as most of the licenced producers are growing some kind of CBD dominant strains. Their prices though are sometimes highway robbery for them, like $15 a gram which in insane.

I've tried the blue(thc/cbd) and yellow(cbd) oils at mettrum. I can't say the CBD only yellow oil does much by itself. The blue oil gives a nice mellow body stone.

When I got my medical Prescription in March (Canada) CBD was the first thing I tried. 24% CBD Cannatonic (Temple from Aurora). I am using mmj to reduce/prevent chronic headaches. Unfortunately high CBD both on it's own or mixed with THC in varying ratios does not do a lot for me if anything. Plus I do not care for the body stone it gives you. Granted you are more functional than when using high THC but it hasn't worked for me. High THC on the other hand has helped I am pretty sure. It will not make a headache go away or diminish, but it has helped to reduce the frequency and intensity. I prefer indicas to sativas since they help more with my issue.

The various high CBD strains were quite sticky (gum up the grinder).

yeah, cbd in my experience doesn't help with all of my pain. for my tension headaches and wrists it's pretty much ineffective. it does help with my general body/leg pain however. i don't think it really helps my insomnia particularly either, but then i've never been able to find a strain that actually makes me sleepy enough to fall asleep quickly... at least as far as i can recall haha.

cbd also generally eases how grating the world is on my sensitive autistic brain. it makes my mood a bit better and i am less prone to getting overwhelmed and shutting down and/or throwing a fit. it might just be its effect on my anxiety but hey ;) even if it doesn't fix everything, it's still very useful to me.

i can't believe 15/gram is expensive to some people.. that is relatively normal around here for anything decent (and legal, anyway). pretty much the only time i can get better prices on cbd flower is after the outdoor harvest. and processed cbd products (such as capsules, edibles, tinctures) are incredibly inflated just about everywhere. thc edibles of the same size/mg amount will always be cheaper than their cbd equals... it's bs. & as mentioned, the cbd flower sells out fast too so it's never guaranteed your go-to dispensary will have what you need when you need it. /endrant

I'm pretty lucky, I respond to CBD blending, that's all I do now. I have had AC/DC bubble hash, it was more than good.
I'm 62 and get the compassionate pricing at Aurora.

I see Medreleaf has now " Tikan Olam " products that are based in Isreal.
Oils and capsuals.
