Herbivore returns... with a bubble hash question

Ok, so there has been some serious business going down on the home front, and I have not had much of a chance to partake lately. So today, I get my hands on some lovely looking 'bubble hash'. I have never had hash made with this method before, but figured it should vape just like kief does in my solo. I stuck a few pieces of it into the Ed's shorty stem I use with my solo and jacked the solo up to setting 7 (in PA mode using my pipes AIO kit).

I got next to no clouds, tasted alright, but was left with a much smaller looking amount of brown goo in the stem. It was still bubbling when I took the solo off the stem.

I proceeded to wash the resultant product for a while, knowing it will be fully decarboxilated, but to see what the final product comes out with. I have also run the stuff through a kief box, seems to make the stuff less sticky and the final product is much more like kief, the screen seems quite clogged with pale yellow stuff, slightly lighter looking than the kief from these buds typically looks. The stuff smells more or less right compared to kief from the same strain, but has anyone ever seen hash become dark brown (but not black) bubbling goo in their solo or other convection vape after it looked like kief?

Is something wrong?

The bubble hash really looks like pressed kief, but seems abnormally sticky compared to the pressed kief I made for comparative purposes from the same strain of buds...

cotton or herb sandwich in the solo will have it all vaped up.... there will be some abv that will look kiefy if it was filtered with a large micron bag...

Cheers man :) I actually did have the Solo jacked up to the highest heat setting. The stuff created almost no clouds and the draw resistance was ridiculously big, I almost couldn't get any clouds, gunked up my screen majorly (very fine screen in ed's stems). It ended up dark brown bubbling goo, liquidy looking. I know bubble hash keeps the trich heads intact and as such contains more oils, is that what this is? I bubble hash meant to go bubbley when you heat it?

yup! that means you have very good bubble. basically you vaped off the lower temp terpenes and oils then at high temps the waxy remains liquified and puddled.... and that stuff will be a lot like abv... full of really high temp sedative stuff at best and waxy tar...

it always bugged me a bit that waterhash never fully convection vaped... so I would chuck the remains in my reclaim jar and let it dissolve.

Nice! Just got like .1g or less of bubble sandwiched between SS wool on either side and vaped it through the solo on 7. Delicious, constant clouds! Great buzz! Do this people! Will be back with pics later, also might transform some bubble into shatter and share pics :)

Cheers man, this bubble has definitely given me a good distraction! I have started a QWISO experiment with some already lightly vaped bubble hash (which got melted), it is looking and smelling pretty nice!

I think a full unvaped bubble run is next :D

Might be better off trying to cut it down into smaller pieces and use the cotton method with the solo,
if it's really good bubble like other users suggest, then you could give it a try in the oil pen (i'm loving mine btw :p). You should try it in my vapexhale cloud, hash in it always gets me :ko: haha.

Man, stainless over cotton all the way :D SS wool sandwich in Solo stem is amazing with hash! Loving the flavour sensation. I would say this hash is half melt, if I have the terminology right. It would leave maybe 1/3 or 1/4 of the total hash heated as residue in the melted bubbley oil that is produced.

It is tasty. Looking at it, I would say we are looking at the results of a 90-120 micron bag here. The final product from the hash AVB netted me some dark, rock hard shatter. Doesn't taste so great (but was made with AVB so this is to be expected no doubt), but definitely works in the gettin' high department! lol.

Next will be to make some shatter out of unvaped bubble to see what the yield/product is like. I can get my hands on bubble much cheaper than flowers, so it seems like it could be much better to produce shatter. I am almost out of top shelf shatter too! Anyone with experience care to tell me whether I can do more than one run on hash, and whether it will be as difficult to dry out the ISO from the hash after the first run to do subsequent runs?

I am definitely of the view that bubble hash can be more enjoyable than dabbing. If I want a super strong body high for sleeping purposes, hash is the way hands down!

@MGG, I am flat out with some work the next little bit, but I'll definitely talk to you soon about taking up on that offer lol :D

Apologies for the double post, but here is a picture of the stickiest, most brittle, rock hard dense shatter I have ever had, made from this thc bomb bubble. 60% yield in one wash! Delicious lemon flavour as per thc bomb nug runs, but much richer and stronger of a taste. Also the greatest high I've ever witnessed :D

I've never used a solo before but to get back to a portable vaping concentrates/hash, I love my Haze Vaporizer for that. Any of u guys check that one out yet?

I've tried vaping refined full-melt (the type OP is referring to) with the vapexhale and the e-nano and I've gotten subpar results. I would say low-temp dabs are the way to go for full melt if that helps anybody.

I tried it in the vapexhale cloud and it got my super :ko:
