I'm looking to get a TED dry herb vaporizer. I see all the names, Dynavap, tornado, simrell, tempest... Then I see all these posts where people say they have a XX brand stem, XX brand mouthpiece... Is this just the best of different makers and they don't like all in one unit sold? Since I'm going to purchase one of these, I read all the reviews and see the waiting lists. As a new buyer is it best to just purchase a full unit and then once learn it to buy pieces?

So all those other stems and mouthpieces are kind of like after market parts for a car. Pieces created by other manufacturers to add to the vapes like dynavap, tornado, simrell (although they also make a lot of accessories for other vapes).

I personally would recommend purchasing a standard vape, whatever it might be. Get to know your selection. Then the plethora of accessories will make more sense. And you'll have a better idea of what you might want to add to/change about your vape, and thus what accessories to buy.

Hope this makes sense
