ok, ive been thinking about this all day now and i finally decided to turn to the internet.

Would it be possible to just get a regular clothes iorn, heat it up to about 220 C and place it over a bowl leaving room for air flow and vaporize the bud inside?

obviously this would be done with a bong, to prevent burning

you could, but the heating element would be nasty and very unhealthy and you would combust the matrial very easily, I personally would not do it. I also believe you should of posted this in the ask the vaporist lounge, for future reference.

Let me guess. Your thread title was 'Help'? That would surely qualify as a dumb title. It provides absolutlely no clue as to what the thread is about. And you put it in the section for 'model specific discussion'. Also dumb, since you're asking about using a small household appliance to produce vapor. Don't think an iron qualifies as a vape 'model'. So I don't think you needed any help in the dumb catagory. Next time give your thread title and placement some thought. And putting it where it doesn't belong just to get more response is never going to fly around here.

Actually, an electric iron would likely work OK or minimally, as conduction vaporizers go (which are nowhere as good as convection vaporizers). An iron's temperature control is probably about as good as many or most of those used in real vaporizers, and it provides a large flat hot metal surface (even heating).

Spread well powdered stuff on the the iron (flat surface facing up), and suck the vapors through a metal tube, or put a can over it and collect the vapors, like glass dome conduction vaporizers. Very inefficient and unsafe, with a lot of exposed hot metal. But, it should work, probably well by the standards of someone without a real vaporizer. For many users, it would be much better than the alternative - combustion.
