Help! Getting my 1st vaporizer.

Getting a vaporizer in a week. I have narrowed down my choices to three portable vaporizers I am interested in getting.

Arizer Solo, Pinnacle, or Indica.

I'm mainly going to vape flowers. Two things that I would find important for me are long battery life and good flavor from the clouds.

Welcome to the site, you've done a great job narrowing it down.

I'd say start with the Arizer Solo. Unless you want stealth, and then go for the Indica. I'd leave Pinnacle out (worst customer service and lowest build quality out of the 3 vapes you selected)

The Solo however is a perfect beginner's vape, and it has a LOT of information over on the official thread (just look at how big it is! - 30,000 replies, 2.2 million views)

Solo is a great first vape. MFLB was my first real vaporizer but the Solo was my first real electronic vape.

Solo has great reviews, and is likely a great vape (I'm assuming you've read the thread on here?). My first portable was a Vapir NO2. Decent battery life, and purely bought on the recommendation of the dreadlocked dude behind the counter (I'm a fairly recent med patient, this stuff is kinda new to me). My dr showed me a Pax and gave it great reviews. When I started searching through a bunch of sources I decided that the Pax was too finicky for my liking, but I wound up tripping over a brand called Inhalater and their brand-spanking new INH05. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and am really happy with it as well. The ~30 second heat up time, as well as the stealthiness of the device, has me enjoying it quite a bit - it goes with me on every dog walk of the day. Might be worth a peek through their website or forum as well?

First vape was the MFLB - I got it for the good reviews and the ultra-stealth aspect. The lack of any serious smell or cloud/smoke allowed me to vape just about anywhere since I can cup it in my hand and it disappears from sight. I fell in love with vaping due to the MFLB.

The more I used the MFLB the more I started to crave bigger clouds, longer lasting batteries, etc..but I didn't want to spend several hundred dollars. Thanks to FC and all the vape reviews I decided on trying the Solo. Now I have the best of both worlds...the Solo for around the house ....decent clouds, taste, long rechargeable battery and ease of use. The Solo is classified as portable but it's not stealthy enough for me for around town AND the MFLB for outside the house.

Solo's a good option. So is the Indica. I like my Pinnacle but the battery life isn't as good as the other two.

You may also want to check out the Transporter, Flowermate, or Imag- cheaper portable options with equally solid battery life.

The biggest problem with selecting a 'great first portable' is that there are so many really good choices out there. And, as some have alluded to, once you get into it your collection will undoubtedly grow.

Let me start by saying that I respect everyones' opinion. Words can come out skewed over the internet. And being new here, I don't want to sound like a d*** head.

I second the Flowermate V. It's cheap at ~70. People have said that the vapor quality is on par with the Pax at $249.99. They've also said it has a heating mechanism similar to the Pinnacle Pro. The mouth piece fits into the unit for easy storage. The only downside is that there is only one set temp. I'd also highly recommend looking into the Alfa by goboof's thread. It's very tiny (stealth) with a price of $200. That one has 3 preset temps. Great things have been said about the Alfa's durability.

The Solo is $224.00. Honestly, I would go with the Flowermate Vapormax V to get my feet wet, so to speak. Users on its thread describe it as idiot-proof. My first vape was a MFLB, it left me wanting bigger clouds, even ABV, and a one-piece unit. (because being high led to me misplacing the removable stem and batteries). Personally, knowing about the Crafty/Mighty (came out last month) which have gotten rave reviews and have been compared to home units, I wouldn't want to spend $200+ on a vape and then read something else is potentially better. It would make me .

The price of the Crafty is pretty steep at $399.00, but $200 is a lot of money (to me at least), too. You know, you blow $200+ on a great vaporizer with a little bit of room for improvement. Then, once you get a taste of the vape life, you get that VAS itch for something slightly better. You eventually succumb to an upgrade down the road, and now you're set back $600+. I know inevitably something will dethrone the S&B portables, and I will welcome that new vape with open arms/lungs.

So in summary, in addition to the Solo, go check out:

-Flowermate Vapormax V
-Alfa by goboof
-Crafty by S&B
-Mighty & MiniVap (if your use will be mainly at your house or a friend's)

Ultimately, I would suggest getting a Flowermate V, it's the best vaporizer for the price. Discover its pros & cons. Use that information to figure what you would want in your next vape. Also, don't forget to come back and tell us what you got and how it's treating you!

My doc suggested a PAX for stealth reasons. Checking into it led me to FC, and more checking suggested it's also finicky and requires a lot of cleaning. I'm more of a function over form guy, and more looking on the FC forums got me interested in the Inhalater, and every time I turn it on I'm reminded of just what a great find it was. It, with a bubbler, should make a great home unit (bubbler just arrived today - testing tonight and it's a great stealth unit for walkabouts, especially with the sub 30second heat up time. But it's not cheap. But if I had this first I wouldn't have a collection of others that perform less well, but starting with a Cadillac doesn't make you appreciate it as much as starting with a Yugo and working your way up - each new style you try will show subtleties and nuances, pro's and con's of each model.

I don't know if you've decided yet but I'm with the majority. I'm new to vaping and began with the MFLB and then the Flowermate 5. I have not had a good experience with the Flowermate- possibly mine is defective. But my Solo just arrived a few days ago and I love it. It's simple to use and clean and my charge lasts a long time. Look around at prices- mine was $130.

I'm not surprised that so many people suggested the Solo. When you're a beginner, it's important to have a good experience right away, and the Solo works straight out of the box, with no drama. Other than being a little large, there's not too much not to like about the Solo

+1 for Solo. A friend talked me into buying one for my parents to stop combusting. Then I bought another for me. Then another friend tried it and he bought one. He brought it to his friends and they are buying one. So is that +4 really?
