A brief report after testing the new dosing capsules for a solid day of use.. . I really like them!!

They reduce the already small fury chamber, to roughly equivalent to the titanium vapcap at it's smallest bowl/chamber setting. This is great news for me as the vapcap and it's smallest dose size have become my norm over the last year.

The vapour production seems to be barely effected. Certainly not enough difference with/without the capsules to be any kind of factor for me. And I like clouds.

In use they seem very robust given their ultimately small and delicate construction. The balance of tightly fitting while still not being a total pain to open, load, empty is spot on!

Finally, and possibly my favourite aspect is that they will definitely do a great job of keeping the fury clean. I've always found that electric vape bowls get dirty over time, unless you clean after each use. And once the chamber is dirty, it can be quite tricky and dull trying to clean it without getting liquid near the electronics. These capsules are already proving they keep the chamber and screens 10x cleaner than without.

Overall I'm very very happy with these capsules. They improve the use of this already great vape. Nice one @HealthyRips.com :tup:

Was out all day yesterday biking with my F2 and caps. Using two metal pill caddies, one with fresh caps and one to dump hot caps into without touching them. System worked perfectly, though these caddies are way too wide. (I don't like stuff rattling in my pack, but I couldn't hear rattling from my caps.) Like you, I thought to try it with the lid up and with the lid down. Seemed to have a different air flow. The lid is a partial restriction compared to the oven and the lower dosing cap. Having this restriction at the entrance to the cap(lid down) rather than the exit(lid up) makes a bit of sense. At least initially, it seemed as if I was getting stronger hits with the lid down. Not having a clear answer, I need to do some more experimentation today and tomorrow, before the wild weekend begins!

Also noticed that I need to turn the temp up a bit to get the same quality hits as my beloved bent stem.

Then you'll like PBW, it uses the same 'Oxygen action' as one component. Buffers keep the wash chemistry 'in line' so it's effective in hard/contaminated wash water and surfactants to break down surface tensions so the gas generation can actually 'get under' deposits (between them and the class surface) to 'pry them lose. This is the most fun part of showing guys this in action. The watch a stream of bubbles coming from some inaccessible bit of junk that might have been there for years and finally float it away as a limp.

Think of it as 'Oxyclean Plus'?

Be careful with long soaks, stick to the instructions. It's very alkaline, guys have reported etching on 'cheap glass' left exposed for long times. It'll strip the finish off your aluminum grinder right before your eyes as you look on in horror......

Yes, I tried it, no I didn't find a difference. I load them 'rim up' since it's easier to do with clumsy fingers (you can grip it by the rim).

The 'bowl' is an oven. Without cold air getting in conduction heats everything inside uniformly. The 'time constant' for this is short. There's not much mass to heat really (less than half what would be there normally) and as things get smaller the ratio of surface area to mass goes up (favoring conduction). This is the basic reason little Mammals like mice eat a much larger portion of their body weight than larger ones like rats and squirrels, and way more than we do. It's also part of the 'weight trap' many of us fall into. As we gain weight, we lose less calories each day relative to what we eat both because we become less active and are now 'better insulated' so use less sugars maintaining core temperature.

And yes, they do fit into my fob.

Pack two, will travel (one preload pod in the chamber).

@stark1 got a link for that little blue fob? that looks awfully handy, especially considering the used ones come out quite hot.

@VapeKnight I think you'll find the F2 is pretty versatile and effective: you can pack it up, cap it up, or use it with the glass accessories to great effect. Just go into it expecting to work around the limited battery life and you won't be disappointed.

I’ve had the fob for a while, you’d most likely get some in EBay. CVS has some pill fobs, not as compact. Massdrop occasionally teases with Ti fobs in their drops.

Be careful when extracting a hot cap, they can fly out your hands, lost! when you suddenly realize how hot they can be! :evil:

Sure it can, but you'll have to make it convection (like GH) which really eats up the battery.

As it is, IMO it's not really that bad. I've heard 'forty minutes heating per charge', and don't disagree with that. I can count on at least four loads, at two four minute sessions each. There's some savings in not reheating but for such a compact vape with 1600 mAh available I think we're doing just fine. And unlike GH and several others there's a useful 'battery gauge' so you know where you stand.

Little harshes my mellow faster than the battery pooping out mid session......

Spent the day up on Mt. Washington, the highest place in northeast North America and the Worst Weather in the World. Took my F2 with me. Though I've had it for five months now, this was only its second outdoor adventure day. This is what I bought if for. The wind was strong all day. I had to come half-way back down the mountain to take this pic, the wind was so strong up higher, even on this gorgeous day, that this heavy little brick kept getting blown over. Dosing caps are essential for the things I love to do. You could never reload outdoors there today. But with my dosing caps, I had a great day.

After yesterday's first trial, today I focused on lid up or lid down with the dosing caps. I've got to say that lid down seems to generate significantly better clouds for me than lid up. Frankly with the lid up the vapor is too airy for my taste. Great hits at same temps with lid down. Strongly recommend that others try lid down.

Since the mp is needed with the caps I was thinking about how to get some moist air in there somehow. Dry hits start to irritate my throat after a while. While at home I often use a bubbler.

I wonder if anyone has tried popping the silcone gasket off the mp, inserting some wet/damp coiled up pipe cleaners and closing it up again? I've seen this discussed on the Arizer Air thread where people were inserting them into the glass stems for a little extra cooling effect. I might try this tonight.

Got my fifty tubes! I can't imagine needing more than four, or maybe a few more for as yet unknown purposes. First few folks to PM me with their name and address, and I'll send you five or six. Free. Not worth the trouble any other way. They fit perfectly. I just tried dumping in really hot caps.

On my longish day I used two caps and started a third. The battery was only down two lines. That's good. Goin' biking a beautiful place tomorrow--too windy on Washington, 65-85mph--with a friend who indulges. We'll see how it goes with the caps and battery life. I've used a little APX and then a Crafty for a good while as my outdoor appliance. This heats up so fast. I can't tell you how many times I turned on my Crafty in a quiet out of the way place... and by the time it was heated up, there were other non-stoner xc skiiers too close by. This is nearly instantaneous.

The good news is I had caps that fit left over from another project. 3/8 inch ID fits these stems correctly. I suspect 10mm (sightly larger) would also work with even less stretching (Amazon has a 'hole' in their caps, 9mm being the next step down from 12mm, which would be even smaller than 3/8). I bought these from 'Dangoodbuy' on EBay:

I bought 3/4 inch long ones for that project, which fit as is but are easier to get on and off if you cut them shorter (easy to do with scissors), or you could order shorter ones......

Sorry for the rookie foul up grabbing the wrong stem out of the box. I hope nobody bought the same 12mm caps I first recommended.....if you did now you have an excuse to buy an ArGo?

I just ordered some, thanks for finding the right ones. These will also come in handy for cleaning the bent stem. Stick a cap on each end with your resin-stripping solution inside and give 'er a shake.
