Did you blow the vape another way or is the smoke buddy really making no vape exhaled in the air? I don't suspect it can be that good. I do like to be wrong on issues such as this though.
No visible vapor comes out of it at all. I have never tried it with smoke though. It is a very nifty little tool. http://www.amazon.com/Smoke-Buddy-Personal-Filter-Purifier/dp/B00478ONEU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1350448496&sr=8-3&keywords=smoke buddy - super cheap
edit: also they need to make a smaller one that looks a like a small red bull can. Super Stealth!

I just use a plastic bottle full of dryer sheets (Much Cheaper).
I don't have a link handy, unfortunately, but I know I've seen somewhere on the web a pic of a dissected Smoke Buddy. IIRC, in addition to activated carbon there's also some folded-up paper filter material of some kind.I made one with activated carbon and I believe it functions like the hide-a-hoot, no smell but some vapor. I used a toothbrush holder so very convenient. I wonder what else is inside the smoke buddy. Next time yours is used up break it up and post pics of what is inside please if you remember.
Did you have a third-person observer detect no smell? It can be really difficult picking up on a faint smell when you've just taken the hit yourself.Toke city has even better pics. I registered grasscity to see them but thanks. I want to know what that paper is and why the black filter is there cause they really don't do anything. I have used them in my house for filtering dust "not". I am going to rework mine and try for no smoke but I did get no smell which is what really matters.
Ok guess we need to bring this to the correct thread so no more of this. Back to the lovely bubbler.
I can't believe that is all the active carbon there is.
