Has anyone had any experience with THCa?

what is type 1 and type 2?
Type 1 is basically all THC(a). Type 2 is a blend of THC(a) and other Canabinoids like CBD(a) or CBC, etc. usually the THC is 4 - 14 % or so in type 2, so usually you need to consume a little more if you are used to 24% THC bud. Type 3 is CBD flower, so less than like 1% THC(a). Sometimes people call CBG(a) dominant flower type 4.

Even if you double a type 2 at 10% thc the effects are different than 1/2 as much of a type 1 at 20%. For me, the type 2 experience is more relaxed and less intense. For instance, for me over doing a type 2 feels like walking up to the edge of a cliff rather than falling off. Also the effects can be a little shorter for me. Extremely pleasant. And then after a few days using a type 2, switch to a type 1, or even mix in less type 2, and oh boy the euphoria is wonderful.

Probably the same effect is possible by blending in various amounts of CBD flower with THC (type 1) flower.

I've only ever seen other people here and discord talking about type 1 type 2 type 3... Specifically the vendor hoku uses that terminology? Don't think I've ever seen it anywhere else, not too widespread??

yeah i did do a search first before i posted. there was one thread someone had but it was kind of a different kind of question from what i wanted to ask.

No what i was asking, purely out of personal curiosity was so-called THCa weed was different from the Delta 9 weed we have here. By different i mean not just taste but the type of high you get and if it is different in any other way. etc.
Hola,
I visited MD before X-mas and made a stop at a local Millersville dispo. (NO senior discount...Grrrr)
Unaware that THC-A was available in MD, I took the oppertunity to acquire a sample of the products and had a chance to try them over the following few days.
I tried some pre-rolls and some pre-packaged flower (odd not being able to smell/see the product before purchase).
... I feel like it's not as full spectrum...
As others have stated, the product feels, smells, and tastes, like mids.
Both seemed overly dry and though neither smelled of chemicals or anything else that might raise a red flag, the odor and taste featured a stem like hempy earthiness that did NOT reflect the name each product was assigned.

I had wanted to try THCA ; So itch scratched, probably permanently.

Just my :2c:
Cheers

Sounds like you got some mids. THCA bud from physical stores is pretty much guaranteed to be garbage from what I've heard. I have some bud right now that I bought as THCA hemp that is absolutely some of the dankest weed I have ever smelled in my life. I'm talking an eighth of an ounce smells through a fresh mason jar lid with no second thought. And that shit is like at least 2 or 3 months old now.

Type 1. Psychoactive cannabis. THCa & THC with low to negligible CBD.

Type 2. Psychoactive cannabis. Approximately 1:1 ratio of CBD: THCa/THC

Type 3. Non-psychoactive cannabis. High CBD, low THCa/THC.

Any of the above are "Farm Bill loophole legal" and considered to be hemp, not marijuana, if THC is <0.3%. No limits on THCA content.
