Well, FC friends, I've finally achieved my goal of having a half a pound of really nice product, maybe 4 or 5 different strains. I gradually built this up over a year, and with the price drop in New York recently, it was posed no real hardship on my finances.

I store in mason jars, vacuum pac, boveda 62's, for long term storage. I find that after about a month or two the product changes for the better. I've tested over and over, vaping some of my new stuff with each purchase, journaling some notes, then storing for a month or two. I do another final dry when shredding (like to shred fine for my particular favorite vape) by placing a bud or two under a hot bulb 20 minutes or so (sometimes longer). The effect is incredible, as getting the H20 out before vaping produces the smoothest, best tasting, most power vapor I've experienced.

Just felt like sharing, enjoying how the cannabis world has improved so much over the last few years. I literally can't believe I have 6 months worth of pharmaceutical grade product in New York, this was not possible for me 2 years ago.

Cool! That is certainly way to much weed for me to just sit casually on. Nice to have such variety though :) I typically keep around 1-2 ounces.

For you guy's questioning the price drop, far as I know, didn't NY just switch to medical? I assume that he got it from a 3rd party, and that 3rd party is able to parlay better deals for him. I don't think you missed the memo on some statewide price drop :lol:

I have no knowledge, just heard that they passed medical. I wasn't sure if medical flower were a thing, because both the posters above me asking about a "Price drop??" made it sound specific. The fact they questioned a price drop made me feel there was some sort of standardized price to be dropped, that all parties would be able to utilize. A bad assumption on my end, some googling shows me that they don't have legal flowers by the looks of it.

In a "black market" there is usually some sort of standard, but there is a lot more variance. We in PA have experienced a price drop and IMO a general uptick in both quality and availability. That's not to say that its not still $60 in the city buying an 1/8th off the street. But I save about $100 compared to a few years ago when I buy zips. In general, I find that the more legal and available cannabis becomes, the lower the street value will go in prohibited areas. Maybe that isn't the case, but it seems to be around me.

We noticed that the longer our Gorilla Glue #4 cured, the better it got. Now at about 5 months in mason jars with occasional burping and it is out of this world.

^^, i dont think so..... they discussed it how that in the dispensary they were only allowed to sell concentrates , and the reason they are so expensive is they claim they are the top in the cannabis industry.

I have a friend doing this exact same thing lol, I'm not sure if he has a half p ... I'm thinking a lot less

I'm also from NY but haven't tried any sort of delivery connects. Always get through friends of friends and in the past year it is around that 300ish range.

Hope everything gets better overall .. Since the new changes happened this year Im sure it'll start slow.

for those wondering, NY is ONLY legalizing medical grade TINCTURES ingested orally only, No flower, no wax, no hash oil. I believe they are focusing on HIGH CBD oil for cancer, neuralgia, and seizures

Now if you have some kind of financial emergency you will not have to purchase any cannabis for 6 months. Feels good, huh? :) If you actually have an emergency you could afford to use your medicine at the same rate you normally do, not meter it out by the calyx buying tiny bags on a tiny budget.

5 or 6 solid strains is really good. I could get 3 dozen strains and only get around 4 which are super solid. They all do the job in the end, some are just much better than others for whatever condition it is I am trying to treat. Sometimes I am treating stress, sometimes treating the blues, sometimes pain, sometimes insomnia, sometimes nausea, and sometimes just for enjoyment only. I try to keep one strain for each of those things, but I don't use each in equal ratios.

this was a dream of mine, always running down to the wire. When combusting, I could burn through a z in a week, but made it last 3. Now 3 weeks is a piece of cake, try for 4 mostly. Nice feeling, good solid connection, No. Cali product - and he delivers.

I do have PTSD and Anxiety (9-11 FDNY), and I do not know how to use strains for different affects with any accuracy. I guess I'll need to journal how each strain affects me. I'm up to the project!!! :sherlock:

It was much lighter in color before I layered it up in the silicon container. I should be set for quite some time :)
