Simply because it would not make for a compelling program for the general viewership. While you and I along with the general community here would love to see stuff like that, the general public could care less. They just want to know why or why not it should be legalized.

For the rest Gupta is taking the cowardly way out, even facilitating the view that all of this has to be taken out of the hands of the people and placed firmly under the control of guys in lab coats. Medical and rec mmj are already on a fairly fast track nationwide through dispensaries. Big pharma will not be able to derail this movement and will have to go to the back of the line, and from there they will have to enter the market with mmj-based meds that can compete with the already tried and true natural products at reasonably affordable costs (won't happen IMO). My prediction is that big pharmacy will get just a comparatively small piece of a very big pie. I won't be sorry about that at all.

They may get a foothold for awhile, but I dont think people are gonna accept paying outrageous fees for GW concoctions that people in mmj states have been making for decades.
