Grinding ABV for cooking

Has anyone tried a coffee mill as an herb grinder?
That's what I use for my ABV cooking.
It reduces ABV to a flour like substance.
I have not tried fresh flowers in my grinder, just ABV.

My best recipe is 1+ oz. of ABV to one box of brownie mix.
A 3"x3" brownie is usually enough for most people to trip today and wake up groggy the next day.
Unfortunately I need about three of these brownies to get sailing.

Just a dude
I've not tried a coffee grinder, I just used my regular Kannastor GR8TR (fine plate) today on some ABV and got dust, powdery, I guess that's flour like?

Talking about flour like consistency of ABV, I found this yesterday while on Reddit! I am going to be trying this method in the next few weeks.

Interesting, thanks.... especially the part about doing the "cycle" like 3 times so you freeze it 3 times, haven't heard that take before but certainly worth trying.

For grinding, I have an antique mortar and pestle from my great-great grandparents. They used it so much that they wore a hole right thru the side of the thick metal. My father was a machinist so he welded the hole shut, you can't really tell it was there.

This method reduces ABV to a micro dust/blow in the wind consistency since it's so dry to begin with.

I have a small batch in a small crock pot as i type!
Used about 100g of ABV ground up in a coffee bean grinder, came out like dust.
Added some Soy Lecithin granules and some lemon Grass oil.
Cook for 3 hours, cool and then in freezer for 2 and repeat twice!

Hoping this will be an awesome pain relieving medicine!
If it is, i have a HUGE container of ABV to convert!

Reporting back!

I did not make a huge batch but followed the instructions!
It has been heated up 3 times for 3 hours and then in the freezer for 2 hours after each heating cycle.
I ended up with a DARK and thick liquid that smelled to the heavens! LOL!

After the last 3 hours heat cycle, i put about a small teaspoon on some bread and then peanut butter and munched down. Taste was not bad at all, quite surprised!!
The teaspoon did not do too much but i could feel it in the background.
When i cleaned up, I wiped the pot down with a bit of bread and munched that as well, about an hour ago.

I can now feel it starting to work! Slight tingling in legs and arms, most of the pain has decreased a bit as well.
I most likely took about 2 capsules worth, so a small dose to start with.
Since i don't have capsules, I will just break bits off and eat them like that.

I will start to weigh out doses and see what is most effective and how the effects are. Think i will need about 3 to 4 capsules for best effects.

So far not bad for a small experiment!

ABV taste ??

Does water curing ABV help minimize the bad taste?
Water curing works on virgin buds to help reduce the bad tastes--it gets out the chlorophyll grassy taste so edibles taste MUCH better.

ABV has a bad edibles taste, so does water curing work on ABV? I assume most of the chlor is released during vaping but would water curing ABV be a useful step?? Has anyone tried it, results??

FYI for those not familiar with water curing: buds are actually submerged in water and every day or two, you pour off the nasty water and replace with fresh water. The "goodies" are not water soluble so they remain untouched. After a few cycles, the grassy/plant matter taste is gone.

And @lazylathe , 100 grams of ABV---yikes, that's a mother-load :) What temp has it been "baked" at?

It was cooked at around 80C every time for 3 hours X 3.
I use one of those sauce crockpots, so it never gets too hot just a nice constant heating.

I did not really taste any ABV or weed taste at all... The peanut butter hid it very well. I did taste a bit of the lemon grass oil which was quite pleasant.

I have read about people water curing ABV with good results and no bad after taste. I don't really mind the taste anyway, so not much of an issue for me.

And this recipe is meant to to be used to fill capsules so there should be no taste.
For cooking I would recommend straining the concoction and getting rid of the flour like consistency herb.

Serious testing time this week!
For today i weighed out 2,15g and coated it with peanut butter and just chewed it.
Taste was quite a bit stronger than yesterday but still not too unpleasant.
Most of my aches and pains have disappeared except for my auto immune condition i was hoping it would also treat. I would imagine the dose would have to be debilitating to dull that constant pain.

It's a nice, mellow buzz that hovers just below that feeling of being medicated, hard to describe.
I can feel it a bit in my arms and legs and a slight sensitivity to light. The light is usually not a problem but the snow and reflection is a killer for my eyes!
Muscle aches and pulls are gone! I messed up a muscle on the right side of my back and it just went away! The day before i took a handful of Tylenol to no effect...

Another bonus is that i find i am actually getting higher when i vape a small amount.
The Lemongrass oil is a huge aid in that it allows the THC to cross the brain blood barrier, thus increasing the high. Similar to mangoes, i am not a fan of them...LOL!
I have also read that rubbing some lemongrass oil mixed with olive oil onto your inside forearm about 30 minutes before you vape will also increase the high!
So when i take some ABV oil with lemongrass oil in it and vape later in the day, the amounts i use are smaller and the amount of times i vape at night has decreased quite a bit.

Would love someone else to experiment and see what their results are!

I have been going to physio for my severe tennis elbow, could not move my elbow some days.
Since taking the oil, the physio guy told me today how drastic an improvement he has seen since last week. I have not told him about the oil use but i have noticed my arthritis has calmed down a lot!

Today's dose was 3g of oil with some peanut butter. Slightly more medicated but still feeling good and functional!

My wife wanted in as well, so i started her off with a 1g dose.
She is now comatose on the bed watching tv!! LMAO!!
She is super baked and says all her pain is gone!
She is hilarious when baked on oil!! She yells at me and then forgets what she is yelling at me about, ask her a question and she just ignores me and when i ask what's going on, she says she has 7 answers and does not know which one to use!
It's good to see her so relaxed for a change!

I would say the heating and cooling process does increase potency quite a bit!

EDIT:
My wife has shifted gears and is now stoned beyond belief! She is going to have a nice nap now!

It's a shame, a medical shame, that most cannot share info about using cannabis with their medical professionals.
I don't share/don't feel comfortable as it might go on my "permanent record".....

Cannabis, in all its shapes and forms, should be the first thing to try for so many issues. Someday :)

A bit of bio but I promise its germane to the conversation, in 01 a medical condition virtually destroyed the veins and valves of my left leg, after hospitalization my Dr. prescribed Percocet for my pain. At first I needed it to get through the day (the pain was intense enough to induce night terrors). Regardless, eventually the healing decreased the pain to an occasional problem or was it the use of cannabis?

We are talking about a period of 17 years and over that course of time I pretty much have not had the need to use opioids. Mind you this is the same time frame that the opioid addiction wave hit. It's only recently that it's dawned on me the reason I didn't fall into the opioid trap was cannabis.

Maybe I'm a fool but I shared this info with my GP. Why? Because we as users have some obligation to spread the word, "there is a better way to treat pain".
