Got a DIY pen, best cart for BHO shatter/wax? or hash? Kanger? D9? GV?

Ive read for days now but theres so much different info.

I bought the ego twist 900 mah VV battery, with some kanger carts. What Id really like is a ceramic cart With no polyfil and no tube in the middle to possibly melt. Something that works well for thick oils. Usually I smoke shatter and occasional wax.

I also would like to find something that works ok for hash or a hash/bho combo. Something for herbs would probably vape hash too. Its not fullmelt.

Ive been looking at gentlemans vape carts and heard delta9 are better but similar. Want to know if they are worth the price over Kangers, if they'll work better for my purposes. Also which ohms to get/voltage? does it matter. I have trouble with this.

The gentlemens cart is a ripoff of the Omicron cart, but not the same. Their V2 cart is Ok but still not very efficient. Kangers will leak if you load a full gram, once the cotton is pulled out you can see through them. Omicron carts are designed for loading up to a gram and getting 400 hits per fill. I have a kanger and V2 gentlemens and both require you to load as you go, not very discrete. Kangers were designed and intended for use with e-juice, not wax/oil.

You will need a 510 to 601 thread adaptor. 2.4ohms is standard for 3.7v, 5ohm is standard at 7.4v. A 1.5ohm will get hotter at 3.7v then the 2.4ohm. A 1.5ohm will serve you better using shatter but I suggest learning with a 2.4ohm first.

I got these kanger 510 Carts based on a review if these parts (thenewguy how to build a pen under 50 bucks) from somewhere else. He didn't mention an adapter, but I'll need one for the kangers or just the omicrons?

Your pen is 510 thread, omicron carts are 601. You need a 510 female to 601 male adaptor to use an omicron cart on your VV pen.

They are designed for use with oil/wax/shatter. Kangers are e-cig parts(cotton filler) and the gentlemens products are all half assed attempts at making an e-cig part work for oil.

I suggest you get a 2.4ohm omicron cart and learn the ropes. You can switch to a 1.5ohm after getting the hang of it for larger hits.

How many g's can you run through these 1.5ohm omicron carts before they need to be replaced?
Not a big fan of disposable+repeated expense anything, and at $50 for a 5 pack, I find the pricing for rebuildable supplies (usually from http://www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com or ebay) much more interesting for me personally. That phoenix rba was on http://reosmods.com for $4 (but currently out of stock). But a dedicated 510 threaded rebuildable oil specific cart would be amazing. You can even buy FC-2000 porous ceramic wicks on ebay, which is pretty much the same stuff in cera if I understand correctly.

There is already so much info with the premade things that I'm just not ready to rebuild/build ones myself. I also dont have the time to sit and play with them forever.

I am hoping that for 13 a pop/50 for 5 they will last a few fills without having to be replaced.

Longevity comes down to what you fill it with and how you use it. Filling with sub-par concentrates will gunk up the insides faster than using quality concentrates. If you dab it and it leaves residue behind on the nail it probably won't work well. OF uses foil to test before loading. You don't want to run them dry or with little oil inside. Weigh your cart empty, fill it with .6, and weigh as you use it. Once you have .2 left you want to refill it with another .6. Keep your cart topped off with clean concentrates and you should get many fills. I know someone personally who has put 14g through a 2.4ohm before switching to a new cart.

Hey for your pen being that its 510 threading you could either get one of those carts i use both and they work amazing for waxes

Well it sure does, maybe the 710 atomizer in the bottom? Those sure are pretty, although more then the omicrons.

It seems pretty good if it works like it's supposed to. Not sure if that funnel will get hot enough to make the wax melt off of it and down onto the coil. If not, youll just have to make sure you only dab onto the coil and any excess that builds up will have to be scraped up and moved back onto the coil.

Yes i have used both of 710 products and the both work well however i recommend the bottom one (710m).
