I read through this thread and others yesterday and was tempted to (again) try something edible at home after having a positive experience with a dispensary purchased ed. I have a decent amount of ABV , I hit it time to time and it's generally of the lighter brown color. I don't use a grinder only my fingers. Nice huh.
Then I read through this thread and I find the olive oil infusion method mentioned and tried it. I was really more interested in seeing if it would have an effect as opposed to really working on the taste and recipe. I took what I think was maybe 3 grams. Difficult to say as I do not have a gram scale. I read , for sugar, 1 teaspoon is equal to 4.2 grams ? Seems crazy I have no idea but I threw in 4 or 5 teaspoons, guesstimate 3-4 grams. Let in sit in mason jar with olive oil just covering it level. This morning I strained most of it and drained it into some safflower oil based mayonaise and a teaspoon of dijon
as I knew licking the spoon it might be somewhat detestable. I poured this admixture atop a certified organ russet bake potato (get it - baked potato ? :/ ) The results were very encouraging. It hit me right away and it was a very noticeable body high with a nice trippy effect to it. It was the first thing I had today (haven't had much since). It's now 6 hours and while the peak is gone for a few hours now I can still feel it.
I do want to try frying it but I do not want the smell. It lingers for hours. If it increased the potency then it might be worth a try.
