I have a similar scenario which has been rolling around my mind for the past few months.
One of my acquaintances has a family villa overlooking the Caribbean on St. Lucia (beautiful open-construction St Lucian old-style design) - gorgeous place on a cliff, no neighbors within eyesight, secluded beach...... In a word, paradise. And the best part is they rent it out for cheap (airfare is the biggest per-person expense).
Better yet, the land's caretaker smokes more in a day than I could in a MONTH
He hooked me UP the last time I went. Rolled these massive fatties.
Anyway my wife & I fell in love with the place and the people/culture/food. We plan to visit it many more times in the near future. However, I have since fucked combustion.
I have personally come to the conclusion any vaporizer I bring will need to be brand new / unused (I like to be extra careful). Additionally I've come to the conclusion that it will not be coming back with me. Moreover, I know I probably can't bring butane with me, so I'll be limited with butane powered vapes - any butane down there would probably be low quality Ronson stuff
The four vapes I currently have on my list (in order of likelyhood to buy) are:
1) Flowermate - great vape for the price, would be most likely to work for my needs, and nice gift for one of the house's staff at the end of the week. Charging is no problem - there are 110V outlets in the villa
2) Vaporgenie - Simple, low-cost, works with standard lighter (supposedly, but I have never used one, probably would need to bring a preloaded torch lighter just in case)
3 (Tie) - Lotus - very powerful vape, fun to use, but requires a LOT of butane and a torch lighter - would need to find a torch that could last a whole week prefilled with high quality butane
3 (Tie) - Vapman - Again another popular vape for the price, but would require a LOT of butane
I am also interested in the Chalice vape which was invented on Jamacia (and powered by coconut charcoal) - you could find one of those perhaps (though it's a bit huge and awkward - CERTAINLY not stealth by any means!)
I have also been thinking about edibles. Since I do have access to the house kitchen and basically an infinite amount of average quality Caribbean Ganja (seedy, sparse stemmy herb - nothing like america's finest). My only problem is time - I need to find a recipe I can prepare in the first 24 hours on the island (Edibles are still quite new to me)
