Going Stealth - My Upcoming Challenge

Another +1 for the MFLB + PA, I just remembered, I've got a 12 Volt AC converter. I can plug that puppy in on the road if the batteries go South on me!

I guess I could technically do that with an EQ as well, but, that'd be like trying to drive a 5 speed while eating an ice cream cone with peanut butter crunch on it... Which is a really bad idea. :D :D

I love my LB. But the EQ will get you there faster. I can't say that it'll be more efficient, but you get medicated much faster for sure. The PA+LB will get you where you want to be as well, but if you don't require its awesome portability, then I'd go with a nice home unit. For me the PA for the MFLB is an added bonus for a great portable unit. But it won't take the place of my home vapes.

I own an Extreme v3, the precursor to the Q, and the LB. They are both excellent devices. For your needs, I think the LB with or without PA is the right choice. If I could have only one of these, I would pick the LB without hesitation, even though I do love my Extreme.

The LB is more than capable of frequent daily use. I know because I use mine like that all the time (with batteries, I don't have the PA). I'm not sure why you think it might be delicate, but as long as you are careful about poking at the screen, it is actually a rugged little unit--and you simply cannot beat the warranty.

I think you will find that your concerns about odours are exaggerated, but I understand where you are coming from. Compared to smoke, vapour smells are not as strong, do not persist, and do not travel much, as others have already explained. Even if you exhaled large clouds, there is no way I can see that vapour would make it out one window and in another, even if they are adjacent. It's just not that strong. Again as someone else said, you are far more at risk with odours from your fresh buds.

My opinion differs slightly from Pakololo on this one and I would concur with Stu. The LB is quality, and you should get one for portable stealthy use, but I do find that I need something extra as my evening vape. I personally wouldn't be fully satisfied, but I know that lots of folks are. It's such a shame you can't try a few out first.

I would suggest maybe you could start with just the LB rather than slpashing out on the PA too at first. This way you could see if the LB vapor did it for you as a home unit, and if so get the PA, or, decide to keep the LB for portable battery use, not get the PA and instead get another home vape. :2c:

the secret to keeping the smell down is to take tiny hoots. the mflb offers tiny hoots that are still satisfying.

using the mflb only and no other other vapes I can get as high as i would like to be with it. hell i have made myself uncomfortably high before using it. for me 1 trench and im feeling good. 2 and i have generally had enough. :p

there is a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it i think you will be very happy with it.

good choice.

The truth is, if you vape long enough, you will most likely end up with more than one vape. Look at the majority of our signatures. Most of us have more than one.

The problem here is finding the "perfect" first vape for you. You've seen many opinions here; now I think it's time for you to do some homework. Look at the threads for the vapes suggested and figure out for yourself what your needs are and which vape suits your needs best. We all have favorite vapes. But these vapes are our favorites because they suit our needs.

 You've got 22 posts, all in this thread, and it's 3 pages long. Time to do some reading in the vape specific threads. You're headed in the right direction. I'm sure you'll end up with a much better 'first vape' than I did.

Actually, I spent hours per day for a week on various forums, including FB, reading up before I posted here. I did post here because my "homework" wasn't providing any tangible answers.

Yes, this thread is long. Ask FC is supposed to be informative. If me asking too many questions seems inappropriate, I'm sorry.

Don't misunderstand; it's not that I (we) don't want to help anymore. It's just that I can't make the decision for you. All we have is our opinions and what we like about our vapes might not be what you would like.

As far as odor, it varies from one model to another mainly on the basis of how big your hits are and how much you exhale. The odor of the device itself is determined by how clean you keep it. The odor of vaping is mostly decided by the size of your hits and when you exhale them.

As compared to the EQ, how rocked does the MFLB get you?
One vape won't really get you more or better vapor than another. It depends more on how you use it. The LB can be used very efficiently, with small hits and gradual raising of the temp, or you can get, bigger and/or higher temp hits right away. Sounds like the LB, with small, controlled hits, is what you'd want in order to minimize odor. Something like the E will tempt you to take much bigger hits, and then you'll have a lot more exhaled vapor to deal with, odor wise. The E and other full sized vapes will get you higher quicker, but you'll tend to go through your supply quicker than with the LB (used conservatively) or a log vape, and it'll be harder to process those bigger hits to minimize odor.

You're going to find your best info on specific models in the vape specific threads, with a lot more info and opinions than you'll get here, simply because only a certain # of members are going to provide a reponse in Ask FC.

Vaping produces considerably less smell than smoking. It dissipates at a much quicker rate than smoke and gives off more of a fragrance than an odor. The Extreme Q is an amazing vaporizer that will produce large hits without creating more of a smell than the average vape. Also if you want to be extra careful there is a product called the Smoke Buddy that is a well constructed filter that you exhale into. Good luck living in the new location!

SD I don't think that you're asking too many questions.

I've read this thread and based on your questions and concerns you should get a MFLB. They're very stealthy, portable, and no the vapor from them does not smell or linger nearly as much as smoke does. Like someone else wrote vapor does not linger nearly as long as smoke does and even the smell from lighting a candle and then quickly blowing it out lingers more than vapor from the MFLB does.

You can also vape tiny amounts and the MFLB will still work, and you'll still get very high and get more THC than you would if you smoked a larger amount of material, and you'll be high for a longer period of time that you're not going to get from smoking at all.

It works fine with batteries but if I were going to use it indoors and very frequently I'd get a power adapter.
