ghosting hits on an airplane

Pretty much what the title says, how much of an idiot wold I be to try and ghost an e-cig hit on an airplane? I couldn't imagine I'd set off a fire alarm if I held it all in.

Also, I've got these cartridges that do contain THC and you can use them in an e cig... how likely is it that they would know its THC if its in with my other e cig fluids and whatnot?

I'm planning on travelling internationally soon, and my rational side says don't take the THC cartridge but it would be so badass to get even higher at 30,000 feet over the earth. haha

I have hit an e-cig on a plane a few times. However, that is regular nicotine e-juice. I usually take a snuff style smokeless cig on flight just in case.

If you are talking about taking THC on an international flight I would suggest that you are an idiot. I'm sure you would get away with it but is it worth the risk? Serious jail time just because you couldn't wait until you got off the plane. I'm sure travelling with concentrates would be hard to detect but to me it is pointless and foolish.

well, I was thinking that where I was going, it would be difficult to find any THC cartridges, not to mention highly illegal. Foreign prisons (especially in the country I am going to) are not famed for their hospitality so I am most certainly not looking to end up in one.

That said, my thought process was that it would be easier to bring them with me, as long as airport security didn't wig out. Easier in the sense that I would not have to go hunting around for cannabis in a foreign land, and risk getting ripped off, robbed or worse.

My comment about vaping on an airplane was mostly in jest, hence the "haha" after it.

But really though, people used to smoke (not weed) on airplanes all the time. Every airplane bathroom I have been in has an ashtray in it.

I would be flying coach, and a small hit of cannabis would likely make the flight much more enjoyable. I suppose there are edibles or capsules for that, though.

Yup, edibles or do a good few dabs before you get on the plane, I often wake up still thoroughly stoned 10 hours after doing a bunch of dabs!

Flowers on an international flight is insanity, vaping flowers on a semi-crowded commercial flight will be smelt even if you ghost! Please be safe! I would recommend a t-break or finding something local if possible, but only where safe (which may be very difficult to achieve if you don't know anyone there!).

I also think you're better off sticking with edibles. I've travelled a lot, and have never had difficulty finding herbs - regardless which country I'm in. It's far safer to pick some up once you're there IMO. :2c: :peace:

Vaping flowers on a plane is a BIG risk but if you've got BIG balls then.......




The sensible choice is edibles but (destination dependant) I'd happily do THC ecig juice if i could get hold of it. TBH though I'd just forget about it and get stoned once I arrived. Just my 2p

Eat edibles, bring them on the plane even, but get rid of it all before you land.

Telling the custom officer that you THOUGHT you had emptied your oilpen is not going to help you.

If the dog gets you, and they find a hint of anything on you, you're fucked. Thats smuggling.

If the dog gets you, and you don't have shit, they'll let you go.

Most smoke alarms (particularly ones intergrated into fire alarm panels/suppression systems) now a days use an Infrared laser beam that when obscured will alarm. Smoke and VAPOR that is thick enough will trigger this type of alarm.

I'm thinking that with some kind of e-pen and an exhale filter, you could vape in pretty much any bathroom stall anywhere in the world if you really felt compelled to do so. Just take small hits so you don't cough and hold them in, what you exhale goes through the filter and you're good. Just be aware of what the penalty is for the location that you're doing it because even if the risk is small it's there.

Having said all that, if you're busted with an e-pen in an airplane stall I would think that the faa penalty would be less than if you lit up a cigarette/joint, it's supposed to be about plane safety not narcotics.

Setting off a lavatory detector on a commercial flight will cost you about $10k in fines and a huge hassle (being arrested). I believe they emergency land the aircraft as well.

They will land the plane, not to mention the public shaming that will come with your face plastered all over CNN, The Nightly News, etc... I would agree with what most people here are saying, some edibles before the trip or a few snake dabs. That's the way I would go.

Vigorously searched each and every time you attempt to board for life as well since you're now in a "list".
Not speaking from experience but from a basic logical standpoint. Eat medibles or vape before boarding.

Some people want their face plastered all over the evening news. Anyways the technique I outlined wouldn't set off a smoke detector, as there would be no smoke or visible vapor. Not that I'm advocating doing it.

Isn't that logical. Vapor needs to be pulled through water, to not just get caught in the water, right?

OP, you might want to look at your risk assessment model. You weight the consequence of being caught as federal or foreign prison. And you are weighing that against a belief that odds are you won't get caught, or somebody posted 'go for it' here did it and got away?

Worst case scenario besides foreign prison? How about this? Fire alarm goes off, crew finds an odd looking device, OP gets upset and stressed, and the plane is diverted. Later the media pick up on it as a national safety story, and then a story about vapes in general. Maybe how it's the same as smoking, and the devices can catch fire, and whatever America wants. It might set the vaping/mmj/legal and movements back a bit. Plus the OP would be famous, and maybe the subject of numerous memes. All because edibles are inconvenient.

That we're even discussing it here is troubling to me.

I'm surprised that something like the scenario syrupy mentioned hasn't gone down yet. Either people are doing it and getting away with it or cannabis users are simply more responsible than perceived by society.

I guess I'll just have to buy my own private jet and hire a pilot if I want to get high in the sky. :rolleyes:
