GAMMA IRRADIATION - Is it safe for your medicine?

Hey dude, thanks for your post! I think you're right about the RedeCan buds... I have no basis for comparison other than the last 10 years of various BC buds, but I don't think i've ever even seen greenhouse buds before. This stuff looks different and smells different from ANYTHING i've ever seen before. Pics to come.

I am still experimenting with THC% etc.... it's a constant work in progress, but I can assure you that I WILL be purchasing all of Tilray's tasty 30% THC $14/g strains! CBD is new to me, and I have lots of experimenting to do, and will take your advice to mix the higher thc with a high CBD strains.

Really appreciate your post and feedback!

just wanted to mention too with the tilray bud , it can be overly dry when you get it . i find the boveda packs to help with this . as soon as i get mine i put them into a mason jar with the packs to re hydrate a bit . take a few days but works every time ;)

What benefit is there to the rehydration? Isn't drier better for vaping? Odd that it would even come like that? Surely many combust their meds.

longevity , shelf life , is the main reason i do it and maybe even help to further the cure a little bit if that is possible . i do still like to smoke a bit as well as vape . not that much maybe 80 /20 vape/smoke so maybe for that reason also . i also take a few bud and put in another smaller container and let it dry more for vaporization .
edit
probably comes dryer then that just to insure it doesn't get contaminated along the way after harvest . this is in part what i was referring to about handling methods as possibly the reason for the buds you said seemed to be lacking flavor and smell. the lp is trying there best to insure there product is safe unfortunately the over drying is counter productive in this regard ( curing )
.

What you say makes sense, and I have a feeling I know how dry the Tilray buds will come, because RedeCan is the same - SUPER dry! Now I understand why the clouds were so intense! My Natural Order Health Services buds would never ever come this dry, and they stock some of the best meds i've ever had the pleasure of trying. But those buds are incredible, full of flavour, frosted, aesthetically gorgeous, and massive effect.

Too bad for some Lp's Gamma Irradiation doesn't dispose of traces of harmful pesticides.

edit: On a serious note. I haven't found any difference IMO in any irradiated stuff I have had. As well, I wasn't affected by these recent recalls.

I feel like I dodged a bullet with the recalls recently as well as I have my script split between aurora and tweed and aurora for the past 6 months has had nothing above 22% THC which is so sad compared to what they started with. I am not renewing with them in the coming months and will no longer be frxommending them until they sort out their supply and demand issues.

Tweed however guys, my god has been going crazy with the DNA Genetics offering. If you don't know anyone with them that doesn't have a THC % cap then you will never know what these strains are about. They are top notch, high times magazine cover buds and prime smello-vision examples as they just scream terps and flavonoids and other cannabiboids. The breeders from DNA have been highly involved in the phenotype selection process that is helping to kick out such stellar bud. A few weeks back for the first time they had more than one strain that was 30%+ and a bunch in the 26-29% range. I know many people doubt LP claims of potency, but I don't with Tweed and have never as they have produced soaring rip roaring rides from anything in the 18-24% range with discernible differences between the strength. I have had Aurora's 32% Warwick and a few others that were definitely not in any competing category. I mean Tweed's DNA Genetics 24% Lemon Skunk hits the dome twice as strong and twice as long as anything aurora has ever at all produced and I was with them from close to the beginning. Get in with Tweed if you don't have a THC% cap and enjoy the wonderfully bred prizes they have for sale quite often. Tweed is not without fault often not having enough to meet their customers needs for lengthy periods of time but have recently been turbing around. The reasonable explanation for this is they discontinued like 80% of their strains in favour of newer and better genetics which took them about 8 months to get ready and they have been vigourously growing them over the last 4 months or so. And now we are reaping the rewards when they pop in the shop here and there. Usually in bunches lately, but sometimes just once. And tweed has been good about emailing when new strains are available so you can get to the shop and order before it's unavailable.

I have been using Beard Brothers direct service for a few months and got some stellar buds, but most important some of the tastiest, most stable and potent shatter I have ever had access to at the $45/gram price point with no bulk pricing as this is a service meant for patients and not those that want to make profit plain and simple. $45/gram direct from then is the best deal and the highest quality concentrate I have purchased from any dispensary. Lots of selection and the per gram pricing is great. I highly recommend them in Canada. Their products retail up to $60-$80/gram in TO dispensaries and others off the web. So you get at least $15/gram off buying direct from them and as a patient this is something that works well for me at this time. Concentrates have been integral in managing my multiple diseases and disorders. Especially with my Omicron V4 handy. The best and most discrete (even though it is federally legal for me to possess and use concentrates, cannabis and its other derivatives, I still prefer to not attract the attention that comes with say smoking a joint for you symptoms before a movie or work) for medicating on the go I have every come across. No smell, no mess, just complete saturation of your lungs with valuable cannabiboids, terpenoids and flavonoids.

Emblem just changed up their menu to not indicate which strains have been irradiated. I'm very disappointed and can totally notice the difference between irradiated buds and non-irradiated. I'm looking for a new provider but thankfully am enjoying tasty buds from Aurora!
