Was able to grab one of these units direct from Grenco for $102. USD during their 420 sale. Saw the sale listed on a site I frequent that lists deals. They also had a review which was favorable. Interesting little vape. Not sure how I'd feel paying $170 for it. Though it seems the price has been lowered in the past year to $150-ish?
Either way seems to work rather well. It's fast heating, easy to use, and the vapor is nice and potent. Though it's not super efficient with that big oven. Flavor is OK. Airflow is not great. For what I want it for, hiking, biking, and generally stealthy use while in semi public active situations, so far it's doing a very good job. Battery life is pretty darn good so far, but it's new and hasn't been recharged over and over yet. I'm sure things will change eventually as they always do with rechargeable batteries.
Anyway, reading about this vape has been an interesting exercise. Seems very love/hate. The majority I've read from people who have used the genuine product are favorable. But then there's the understandable general Grenco dislike what with their relabeling of generic vapes. Apparently there's some pretty bad knock offs out there as well that may have tarnished it's rep a bit. There's also the issue of price to value being a few higher quality/better rep/convection portables are only a stones throw away, or right on par price wise, when the Elite's at that $170. mark.
But at $102. so far I'm pretty satisfied with what it is and what it does. And I won't be too sad if it gets damaged during active outdoorsy stuff.
