Ahhh...another happy Postal customer. 
Those fuckers would have gone out of business long ago if they didn't have Uncle Sam propping them up the past couple of decades.
Nothing impedes improvement like endless infusions of cash and nil accountability.

Actually, the usps hasn't received a cent from the gov't. They have, however, been required to pay the gov't several decades of future retirement, in advance. In turn, causing them to have to get rid of people and then performance declines.

Seems like they are still too beholden being a quazi-gov't entity. The Gov't still decides what they can and cannot do...such as not allowing them to get rid of some real rural routes/deliveries that further drive up their costs. I know some people would complain if they had to come into town to pick up their mail, but if you're going to live in BFN, you do have to compromise on some amenities.
Ah well...I worked for those fuckers many decades ago. A retirement package from them would have been nice, but I don't think I could have made it that many years without becoming another statistic that went "postal".

Yeah, the retirement's nice. And as Vicki says, since a reorganization in the seventies the USPS has been financially independent and making a profit. I think the introduction of data and financial incentives has made the numbers the only thing that management gives a shit about. They've cheated the Supervisors out of money; they cheat the workers out of time to do their jobs and have created a sweatshop like environment, at least were I worked. We had one area manager who , in an earlier position, wouldn't shut down a plant that anthrax had gone through; even complained about a loss of production. They used to have evacuation drills regularly, no more. That might hurt someones numbers I guess.
I can go on and on. Oh, maybe I have.
Anyways, I say be kind to the workers, but FUCK the Post Office.

Secondly, a much bigger Fuck You to AIT Worldwide Logistics... they put USPS to shame in regards to being the lowest, scum sucking pond scum in the universe!
Why? I ordered sumthin. They were the shipper used by the vendor I chose. 3-5 day shipping. Ordered on a Monday. Nothing by Friday. Called the vendor (Fuck them too!). They transfer me directly to the shipper. Next, I explain the entire story, provide all tracking and other info I had, only to have the guy tell me I needed to hold on for a while while he worked on pulling his head out of his ass so he could review my case. My F-ing case! So anyhow, after he pulls his head out, and wipes off his glasses, he informs me the vendor provided them an incorrect phone number for me. Note, they have both my mailing address and email address, both valid... but vendor mistyped my phone number. So, I provided my phone number and reset delivery appointment. Before I let before I let that worthless POS go, I asked "so, had I not made a call, would my item have simply sat in Limbo?" I got a Fucking "Yes" as the answer. Would they not think to send an email? Or contact the vendor who did indeed have my correct phone number on file? So, to sum it up.... Fuck AIT!

Fuck California wildfires... we go hard as fuck in the West Coast! I could see 3 separate fires from my house, one was about 6 miles away from the place. Was actually only about 2 miles from my uncle's house down the road, the school across the street was evacuated surprisingly quickly. We got a voluntary evac notice but the Santa Ana winds shifted the fire in a U-shape around a mountain and went the opposite direction.
