This is more of a WTF post than a Fuck You Post...

But I gotta know how two people, one 12 year old and a 35 year old can use eighteen 16.9 oz bottles of water between 9:30pm last night and Noon today. Right now there are only four people in the household and two of us used none of that case of water so that only leaves you two. Your answer of "I don't know, It's only water" doesn't cut it because no one else was here to use it.

I know it may sound petty but even water costs money and you buy it expecting it to be there when you want it.

So WTF happened to all the water... along with the bottles the water came in that are now somehow nowhere to be found.

That would be one way to explain what happened except they came home at 9:30 last night and haven't left to go anywhere since. That's what makes where it could have gone so fucking baffling.

I was sitting within 8 feet of the front door until around 1:30am and they went to bed around 11:30pm so unless someone came and picked it up after I went to bed...

It's truly just one of the "What the Fuck"and "Where the Fuck" little incidents that follows these people around on a daily basis (although I don't believe the 12 year old is responsible I'm sure he knows what happened to it).

I find it interesting how the news focused on a couple of Best Buys gouging people in Texas for cases of water (which was fucked up..don't get me wrong), yet the oil industry has used this tragedy to once again jack up the price of oil and gas across the nation and rob Texans, as well as everyone else of billions of dollars. Yet all the news does is validate the need for the oil companies to raise prices, like "shortages" quite naturally means that the gas already produced needs to cost more.

Ever notice how when something occurs that is not in the best interest of the oil companies, like decreased oil consumption, the price of oil slowly goes down by the penny, but when the issue means a boon for the industry the price rockets up by the dime?

4.5 months, 4x engineers and countless hours on the phone I've finally concluded the "Fuck You" notice must be sent.

So I've dropped my connection by 50% as I may as well only pay for what I'm getting.

I know I should leave them entirely but that's a whole bunch of hassle I don't have time for right now.

So FUCK YOU virgin media for charging for 200mbps but failing to barely deliver 50% of it.

Here's a quick story about how the scales that normally tell DDave "Fuck You", this time got a zap of karma in return!
How?

Went to my favorite brick and mortar shop to restock. 2gs of 2 diff indicas, 2gs of a hybrid and 2gs of a sativa.
While the BT was weighing them out, I was like DAMN! NOW THAT'S LOVE... but the scales were barely over. Each weighed between 2.05g & 2.15g.
Wasn't adding up. Maybe they injected helium into their bud. Nope.

Got home and busted out my scale. Calibrated it first so I could be as close as possible to the correct weight.
Each was almost 3.5gs... FUCK YEAH! OH FUCK YEAH! SO VERY FUCK YEAH!

Almost 6gs free, plus the BT counted it as some type of combo deal, another $15 off.... I am so torn about going back there, ordering 2gs and seeing if I sense an 1/8th... If so, ANOTHER 10gs PLEASE!

This is a Fuck You with a Fuck Yeah!

Fuck you to getting ill. Two years ago my eczema got so bad that I ended up swollen and seeping some weird plasma type stuff out my skin. After several bad diagnosis from idiot docs eventually it was discovered I had a topical infection.

I spent over four months on prednisolone, which I should never have been put on until the infection had been resolved.

Eventually the infection was resolved, it took another couple of months.

Since then I've been up and down with regular flare ups and struggling to go three weeks without flaring up and resetting back to stage one. To add insult to injury the roids caused me to bloat up and double my weight.

I've since been off the oral roids but still using topical roids frequently (4x a day).

I decided if I couldn't beat the eczema I could at least loose the weight and get some fitness back.

So I started running and circuit training.

Today I hit one of my major goals. I ran at 7mph for 30 mins. It's taken months to get here but now I have I feel unstoppable. I've lost all the weight and I'm starting to feel like I'm back on track.

The skin is still struggling but no where near as bad as it was.

So FUCK YEAH!

I still have some ways to go but I'm past the hardest bit, getting started and refusing to accept my weaknesses.

It's a big deal for me as I was mostly stuck on a couch popping pills for over a year.

Thanks for the suggestion, as it is at the moment I can't use any other topical creams/ointments other than the fucidic acid, dermol and base. I've got to be careful to manage the ratios carefully and need to avoid over moisturising to stop any secondary infections.

All this and a shit ton of antihistamines and painkillers.

I've been ritualistic about mixing it all up and the application. I fucking refuse to let this shit beat me! I know there are others out there that have had to fight their own battles and I just want to say "never stop fighting, you can always improve your position even if it's just mentally or emotionally".

So Fuck Yeah!

I get a letter from the "MDX" - Miami Dade Expressway Authority. It shows a picture of a vehicle with my license plate number and it says I owe $3.50 in unpaid tolls. I expand the photo and I can see it's my plate number but the plate isn't from Florida, the car in the photo is white, mine is black and last but not least, my car is a Hyundai Santa Fe and the car in the photo is a Toyota.

I call the MDX and explain to the agent what I've found. They put me on hold and then instruct me to get a letter from the DMV explaining what cars I own and asking the DMV to explicitly state that I do not own a Toyota. Anyone ever gotten the DMV to do something quickly and correctly?!?!?!

For a stinking $3.50 I'd rather just pay it BUT if I do and that other vehicle gets into something more of a problem....... me, my credit card and my address will have been linked to that vehicle by my own actions. Can almost here it now...if it's not your vehicle why did you pay the fine?

That sucks. As a matter of law, THEY are the ones who must prove you (your vehicle) violated the toll provisions. (Not only as basic due process, but also because it is not possible to prove a negative.) But, what good does that do you for $3.50? Are you really going to take a day off to fight such nonsense? In my state (CA), theoretically, each such citation requires an actual person review the photo to make sure it is "correct". While it doesn't help much, at least there is a guy who signed off on the charge who can be looked to if there is an obvious error like yours.

If you can mail in payment, I'd use a check with an endorsement limitation stating this is not your vehicle and you are paying under protest. That should make sure you are not linked to the vehicle at all. If paid by credit card, I understand your concern. However, if magic bad happens, the worst it will result in is a question or two from the cops. Everyone would understand why you might have made the choice to pay. (If you have a commercial license, that is another issue as civil violations might give you points.)

All that being said, I await the day our robot overlords have speeding cameras everywhere in the states as they do in the UK:

My biggest gripe is that I can plainly see it isn't my car and if the MDX doesn't have access to the DMV records to see the same thing .... they should.

When it comes to these kind of situations I always try to fight the good fight. Can't help it....it's how I'm built.

Many state legislators have an ombudsman who deal with such things as voter services. Send it to the offices of those who represent you.
