I have found an interesting benefit to being a legal, medical cannabis patient. You no longer have to serve jury duty. Every time I get a summons I just politely explain on the exemption sheet that I am a chronic pain/medical cannabis patient, my body only works in the afternoon and evenings, and where would I medicate down there? and fax it in.

Every time I get an immediate response from the court excusing me . . . :)

How about a kitty update?

Well, after getting kitty her own little plot of grass (wheatgrass, you stoners!), she attacked it, then went right back to eating normally.

We switched cat food (we feed them raw food), to a different brand of raw ground up rabbit (rodent), and between the grass and the new food, everything was working out great.

Then, for no reason we can even fathom, Ghost walked over to one of the zabutons on the floor, and just peed on it. While we were sitting right there. Watching a movie. Okay, no one overreacts, we've been trained... just calmly cleaned it up, put the soaked papertowel into the litter box (this has been helping), and let it go.

I clean litterboxes daily (3 boxes for two kitties), use the "Cat Attract" litter/herbs, and thoroughly clean any spots with special feline-only cleaner.

We had prevented the peeing on the bed thing by covering the bed with space blankets... had done this for a couple of months, and started leaving it off, and observing. Everything seemed to be working okay. We can pretty much count on one pee puddle, usually right by one of her litter boxes, the day after we vacuum. Ghost is always stressed out by that. We've put her on the balcony, given her kitty calming treats, catnip, locked her in the bedroom while doing the LR, etc. So, I just don't even worry about it anymore, I just go find it, clean it up, and go on with life. (oh, the papertowel always goes in the LB. She seems to get that idea better than any other I've tried)

So, Yesterday, after all my housecleaning, I come home from work, and she has peed across the entire head of the bed, soaking it down to the mattress.

:bang:

Nope, didn't yell. Just had to load every goddamned bit of bedding and go to the fucking laundromat, and clean the mattress, put a fan on it so it would dry, then flipped it.

I'm really starting to question the sanity of keeping this cat.

We are having a problem with one of our cats now too. Probably because of our new kitten, who is getting spayed next week. We think things will calm down a lot after that.

My cat, Baboo (21 years old and full of life & love), sometimes climbs into the litter box but has his tail end too close to the edge, so he ends up puddling just outside the box. Could this be the reason you're finding pee just outside the box? Also, I feed the cats only top grade stuff (not grocery store crap), and give them a nice dose of Felovite everyday. But, what makes a big difference in the way they eliminate and feel generally is that I add Konsyl Original Formula Psyllium Fiber into their meal every other day. I take one heaping spoonful and add it to 1/2 cup of warm water and stir until well-thickened. Then, I thoroughly mix about 1/2 to 3/4 of that into the food with my fingers. They seem to love it (the overall texture and taste of it). Makes elimination so much easier for them, relieves constipation and hard dry stools, and for some reason doesn't smell as bad (probably because it doesn't rot in the system as long). All of the above diet goes for my precious dog also, Riker. I will definitely grow for them (the cats) their own special plot of wheat grass, as you are doing (great idea!!!). Nothing is too good for my furry little soul mates, both dogs & cats).
