FROLIC by Limelight Herb

Still loving my Frolic and it has been so amazing on my travels so far,

I’ve got legacy pro capsules coming in I’m going to try soon, but overall I couldn’t be happier with the device!

Does anyone know where I can buy more of the bowl orings though? I haven’t been able to lube mine yet and the ring is starting to rip a little bit due to heavy use.

Or if limelight wants to add some to the site for me to buy out 🙏

So after a few days I am now using sb caps without the tops. Works great and keeps everything clean. I really like on-demand the best. I am running it thru a fc-88 Klein and it is a great match. Any where from 360 to 390 works for me but 375 is the sweet spot. It’s capable of clouds that rival ballvapes and I doubt I’ll run over 390 much at all.About 6 to 7 hits per cap and the first 4 are as big as you make them. Running at these temps keeps still lets the flowers flavor come thru even with water. An all around great vape that should move up the charts quickly. Thanks to all for your tips and info.Have a good vape day.👍

Do you know how many people looked up fwiw? Me. LOL I did not know what that meant. I learn about vape here and English too. Great forum!

PS In order for post to make sense here:

I love the Frolic...it works amazing!

You know what? I'm pretty sure I learned that acronym here as well, but I feel like it was closer to 10 years ago at this point :rofl::cheers::spliff:

Is there any rough guess for when the next batch will be released with capsules and stuff? what are the actual changes that will be on the next round of devices? i would jump on this instantly i just can't afford to right now but i feel like i'll be rewarded by waiting!
2-3 weeks. Just the new CU part so it can accept the capsules and the white dot on the AFC.

Would love to see if frolic can be shipped to australia as an "electric hand warmer" as our laws around vapes are so dumb @Dejan LimelightHerb
I will message you regarding this.

Here many have tried that Via bowl reducer and dosing caps and it seems to work.

Im allso still thinking of which option to choose. And Dejan said he will make capsules and bowl reducer soon!
Glass reducer works fine for a bit less than 0.1 with a bit of challenge not to overheat the device if run at max on demand temp. I also tried a flatenned bottom 14 mm rimless basketscreen with 0.15 works really well if the whole screen is covered. Also another trick is with 2 12ish mm basket screens ( like those sold by 50 on aliexpress these make a nice bumpy cu screen also) : one curve down and bottom flattened as a reducer, one curve up bottom flattened as a shallow bowl for less than 0.1. Waiting for some ss crafty caps to play with but from what I'm expecting they should work well without the cap as is and with the cap with the modified part Dejan is going to make. Works ok too when the full bowl is underpacked but a bit less effectively if too loose. Globally it cooks very even.No stirring needed.

I am running my Frolic at max temp 240c . I am getting good cloud and dark brownish AVB with some less dark on the top (Half open airflow). Is that the normal performance for max temp ? I would expect it to be near combustion or combusting at this temp. Just want to make sure it in line with what other have or if it need calibration.

Thanks!

Sounds about the same as mine.

anyone paid with the Viva option? when I choose that option, it ends up charging me (autofilling the amount field before i put my card number) with 313,75 EUR instead of the 306,79 EUR listed on limelight's website. I can modify the amount but not sure if that would mess up the order in the end.

Is there a way for frolic users to re-calibrate their device if it seems off? I believe mine seems ok but just wondered if that was possible or a way to check the heaters resistance? Don’t know if that’s relevant to temp and heating in these devices?

The more I use this thing on a bong it makes me want to use it as direct as possible, I wonder if in the future you will look into a way to bypass the who top piece and use it direct with a special adapter?
I noticed on the Troy and Jerry Think Dank stream yesterday they also were playing with this idea and it was very interesting...

A direct-to-oven WPA is being planned.

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to Dejan for the Frolic, the first vaporizer that actually made me create an account on FC and gave me the urge to share my feedback!

The look of the vape is minimalist, even monolithic, and I personally find that beautiful. Thanks to its simple shapes, it fits perfectly in the hand and the fire button naturally falls under the fingers. The cooling unit easily aligns because of the wedge but it is indeed a bit hard to remove.
As for performance and vapor, other users with broader experience have already said it all: versatile; very responsive; powerful. In on-demand mode, after the first draw, you press the fire button, gently bring the vape to your lips, and it’s ready!
I also love being able to easily change my experience. In sessions mode with very restricted airflow and low temperature, or in on-demand mode with airflow fully open and temperature maxed out. Both experiences work really well and don’t overlap.

In short, you’ve probably noticed that this vape completely fulfills my expectations. But precisely because I appreciate it so much, I’ll allow myself to share a few points I’d like to see evolve:
  • in session mode, I’d love for a higher conduction heating ratio;
  • the option to reduce screen brightness, LED brightness, and vibration intensity;
  • slightly faster temperature scrolling?
  • a battery check with the device off by pressing the power button (red to green led);
  • more round/conical/non-directional mouthpieces (I only use the 14mm adapter);
  • if you magically could make the CLICK when you put back the CU less CLICKY;
  • and in general, fewer O-rings equals more happiness.
I’ll also allow myself to make some of you a little jealous. Some find that the airflow control ring spins too freely, but mine only moves if I use all my strength and that of my ancestors (plus a silicone grip). It’s the only vape that has ever given me a small burn… from friction.
Thanks again and congratulations Dejan!

PS: I also wanted to ask the forum how you hold your Frolic and with which finger you press the fire button? (I usually hold it full-hand and fire with my index or middle finger).

Welcome to the forum!
Nice review. I also hold the Frolic and use the fire button as you mention.

I also use this method mostly because of this;

Thanks to its simple shapes, it fits perfectly in the hand and the fire button naturally falls under the fingers.

But the device is so easy to handle that picking it up the opposite way makes using my thumb easy.

I love that I could turn off haptic. I usually prefer and love haptic feedback, but that led above the button is so clear. When it's green it's time to GO. Like sitting at a stop light and dumping the clutch the first moment you can. :D

Nice! Will you also be releasing your own capsules with safe and performant materials (hard anodized aluminum, etc.)? Or is there a brand/model of third-party capsules that you would recommend?

EDIT: A funnel to make it easier to load the bowl without spilling herb all over the place would also be nice! Or a special little spoon made of PEEK or bamboo...

Working on the accessories, the last in line was the oven insert for wax and concentrates. Hard anodized aluminum again. I will try to keep the thickness as low as possible. The diameter of the bottom of the tub comes at around 10mm...

Will the 10% reduction will be available when new batch comes in and/or when this concentrate insert is ready ?

Hi @Dejan LimelightHerb I am very much enjoying my Frolic! I know you mentioned something to lube the o-rings a while back but will an approved lube be available on the website in the future? In the meantime what is the best lube to use? Another member on here mentioned petrol gel lubricant. Please let us know thanks!
