Yup, same as hitting the power switch. You stick the velcro base on which will likely lose adhesion after a few washes and doesn't seem too stable on top of the unit. They used the cheapest PID on the market, you're basically paying for the "wireless" gimmick if you buy one. Might be good for some use cases if you just can't have wires but for around the same price or a bit more you can get a Hex-Nail which will give a much better quality dab than this thing. Or just buy a cheap China e-nail and save $300.
