I saw something last night on the Documentary Channel which was pretty facincating. It was made in 2007, so some of you may have already seen it, but if you're into guitars, it's a must see:
"Talking Guitars"
Kind of a technical look inside of what it takes to repair and design guitars along with an inside look into the psyche of a very talented man who works with woods.
Synopsis
"An intimate portrait of master guitar craftsman, Flip Scipio. The behind-the-scenes music documentary illustrates the fascinating juxtaposition of the quiet artist against the world of musicians who seek his expertise. His clients include Jackson Browne, David Lindley, Ben Taylor, Paul Simon, David Tronzo, Keith Richards, Ry Cooder, Leni Stern, Carly Simon, etc. Flip, the master luthier, "can make the worst piece of sh*t sing"."
And a little bit more on Flip Scipio here: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704132204576284993401336146.html
