Thanks to @His_Highness sales list, I noticed Ayr had 2 for $50 concentrates, and an additional 10% off for donating two cans of food. Total for 4 grams was $90. It burns dark, like all Ayr live concentrates I’ve tried. While not very high in terps at 4.43%, it still tastes pretty good with a low-temp cold start. Well worth it if you are dabbing on a budget, and can’t afford rosin all the time.

Excellent Find! Had no idea the site existed. Will check it out in-depth over the weekend and see if there is any reason to continue our list or maybe include some of their info in our list.

No check in process, just walk right into the store and let them know what you want.

Flower is packaged very well and I believe is actually sealed. A customer said it’s nitrogen sealed? You get a nice pop when you open it.

Flower is more unique looking than the other dispensaries, and both eighths were unique from each other.

On paper the Ecto C had high terps and thc, but doesn’t small fantastic, but not bad.

The grape gasoline definitely has a very solid smell and looks great.

Edit3: So I just realized I was charged $52, when I was expected to be charged $56.
The price is $28 per eighth, but quarters are $52.
I guess they gave me the quarter price, even though I bought 2 different strains. If that's the case, quite the kudos to them.

After giving the Ecto C some time to breathe, the smell started to come through and it's a nice soury sativa. I still smell some dryness behind it.
Breaking it up though is a sticky inside and stronger on the sour.

Edit2: Flavor of the Ecto came through in the bag, which a lot of FL flower lacks. The recent BK pickup from Trulieve was nice in the bag, and most RiSE strains. I don't use the bag as a measure of flavor, but when it comes through well it sure is welcomed.
Effects are absolutely there, but everything feels magnified when it's with my afternoon cappuccino anyway

Just completed a review of the Flcannabisdeals.org daily sales list:
- They include several options I do not: Insa, Sanctuary, Cannabist, Green Dragon and Goldleaf. They also include a table, (Last updated 05/30/23), for "group/loyalty" options like 1st time customer and new-card/renew-card that for the most part I don't bother with anymore.

They missed a reference or two I did include but they were of miner importance at best. In some cases I might include an insight or suggestion they don't which would have been a bigger deal back when I took the time to highlight things in red.

BOTTOM LINE: https://flcannabisdeals.org/ list is a better option than mine and it makes no sense to update mine to catch up so I'm going to retire my daily sales list. This decision eliminates the need for the other homework I was going to do.

I hope we will continue to post approaches like using a 50% off LHS standard pricing for "Later Days" to get an 8th for $10 or less when its good enough.

I will post this decision every now and will include the link so it gets socialized for anyone who might still be using our list.

I went to RiSE for no reason other than I'm addicted to spending money and they had $25 eighths of EVERY strain.

I walked in and asked the guy if he had "anything as good as Animal Face", which he honestly replied "nothing's as good as Animal Face, BUT.."

and he hit me with a few suggestions.

he told me Casino Kush would knock me out like Joe Pesci in the movie Casino...so naturally I grabbed some.

I also wanted a Sativa, and narrowed it down between Tang and Loma.

He told me Loma was mixed with Project 4513 (or some random number), and confirmed with a few people in the room that "that Project shit was gas right?" so of course I went with the Loma.
He also told me it would make me happy if I was pissed...so no complaints there.

The Loma is dark buds, and at first hint of smell you get gas in the aroma, but the buds itself almost has a cream soda lemon pledge type of smell which quickly overpowers it. Sweet, but with something else there. I'm trying to figure out what it's reminding me of. Sort of like Trulieve's Memberberry, and I think maybe RiSE's Apple Cobbler.

The Casino Kush is 3 large gassy buds, with the inside bordering on a chemical smell. Similar to Animal Face.

No complaints so far.

Oh, and they take card now at a $2 fee. Not perfect, but better than grabbing cash at $3.50 fee.

The Loma tastes exactly how it smells, especially on a lower-med temp. If you can hit the temp a tad darker, you can release a bit more of the pungent notes, but for the most part it's a clean sweet flavor down to the last hit.

I'm not sure how I feel about the flavor. I like that it is actually flavorful and not just a dry or neutral taste we're sometimes use to with Florida bud, but it is hard to escape the flavor of this one. It's overwhelmingly the flavor described below.

Definitely not for everyone. If you like something sweet and interesting, give it a go. It's some great buds.

I always try to get my girlfriend to smell my weed (weird sentence...) to see if she can spot any differences in how they smell.
To her, weed just smells like weed, and it's really tough to find something that varies from that.

So I had her smell the Casino Kush, which is pretty gassy, and to her was just weed smell.

But after briefing her on the Loma and having her look for a citrusy creamy sweet smell, she was pretty surprised that she was able to smell it so differently. She described it as a sweet lime soda.

Still loving these strains, they're so strong tasting.

It's odd. The Trulieve flower that I have smells very strongly, but the Tangie Girl tastes pretty bad, as I mentioned in a previous post.
The Bubba Kush has a very strong smell, and the flavor is good, but dies so quickly.

Meanwhile, the flower that I had from Insa, the smell died pretty quickly after purchasing and cracking the container. But smelled great after grinding, and had nice strong flavor throughout a bowl.

So while the Trulieve flower smelled stronger, it had less taste.
And the Insa had less smell, but stronger taste.

It's only been more so recently that I've started to find a disconnect between smell and flavor, but seems most prevalent at Trulieve in my experience.
(someone else accidentally reinforced this when they got Acapulco Gold, said it smelled strong, but lacked flavor).

Anyone else notice a disconnect between smell and flavor? Any particular dispensary? Any ideas why? Seems one of the more counterintuitive things I've experienced in vaping.

@Bologna - Not sure about the smaller local growers. I've read that the smaller growers are having a hard time competing though.

@AJS - Smell and Flavor - For Me: The smell is there after grinding, but not so much when first opening an 8th. The taste is kind of muted, even when first opened/grinded and it doesn't seem to matter which dispensary. I do wonder if that's the case with the higher priced 8ths. I haven't spent more than $20 an 8th on anything for soooooooooooooooo long.

I don't think so. The State places onerous regulations on growers/dispos that prevent most small businesses from participating. The only exception I can think of is The Flowery. They were a smaller family owned nursery that operated for decades prior to medical legalization and pivoted to growing cannabis a few years ago.

No, there isn't. Florida has a vertical integration model that required the same company to grow and sell. Small growers can't afford all the hoops and regulations required to be both a grower AND dispensary. Additionally, the state has only issued 22 licenses. Of those, only 19 actually have dispensaries. The other three are sitting on their license hoping to resell it, or make bank if recreational passes next year.

So the basic summary is we are lacking competition while simultaneously implementing regulations that results in the elimination of most companies who try to enter the Florida medical marijuana marketplace. Things are looking up though, the department of health accepted application from April 24th-28th to issue 22 more licenses. Hopefully, double the competition will result in an increase in quality and decrease in cost.

The Wedding Cake is dry, and didn’t have a ton of flavor. The effects are good though, definitely more depth to the high than the live resin I’ve been going through. The Marshmallow OG is the perfect consistency, like creamy peanut butter would be on a dab tool. The flavor is nice and sweet. Both burn clean, and wipe away with a single q-tip.

How many dabs have you taken today? I got the day off, so I’m at 4 I think. Maybe 5. I lost track.

Each gram was $9, and I got 3 of them to try. So essentially at that rate, a $31/eighth. Not too shabby just to experiment.

Oreoz Blizzard at 18.2% thc and 2.09% terps. - 1 large nug coming in at 1.1g. Nice dark colors, gassy but some dry-soil smell on the outside.

Mac 1 at 19.1% THC and 1.57% terps. - 2 great looking nugs coming in at 1.1g. Bright green, a lot of white, and some bright purple. Smell is very interesting. It almost smells like fruit loops or cereal, without necessarily smelling "sweet". The best looking buds out of the group.

Chem D at 18.5% THC and 1.60% terps. - 3 bright green nugs coming in at 1.1g. A bit of that dry-soil smell on the outside, but cracked open is a nice strong gassy smell.

All the buds look great, and have unique smells and looks.
Excited to try these out, and hopefully go back to pick up some eighths in the future.

I probably wouldn't spend $30/eighth for these, but would most definitely consider $25.
Their current pricing at 40% off puts it from $45/e to $27. Hard to compete with RiSE discounted at $25 though.

These are pretty damn good..

Oreoz Blizzard grinded into a nice gassy smell, and the flavor was great and strong, very resinous. The budtender told me this would put me down, and it sure is heavy. Think this one is typically $35/eighth, so would be in the low $20s discounted.

Mac 1 is pretty strong but not quite as heavy as the Oreoz. Flavor was great on this one too, almost a chocolatey taste. I wonder how it is compared to other Mac 1s as that's pretty popular in florida. Looks so so good.

Will need to try the Chem D tonight but definitely hopeful after the other two.

Different bud compared to MedMen for sure.
