I’m still all stocked up with the TL clearance budders from last week, but needed a bit more flower. There weren’t any great sales yesterday, so I decided to risk it with some Grow Healthy sungrown 99 Problems.
The lab report shows it is 26% THC and a whopping 2.9% terpenes. I tend to think of sungrown/greenhouse as a lower tier than indoor, but this batch of 99 Problems is fantastic! It may not look as pretty, but the flavor and effects are on point. At $16.25 an eighth, it’s an easy win in my book.

A couple times a year, I convince myself it's a good idea to try out Trulieve ground flower again. I made that mistake, and returned it today. I exchanged it for a half oz of Roll One flower. I chose that specifically because it's $20, and not on sale. Theirs is a new weekly coupon on the FLMedicalTreees reddit, and this week is $25 off $75. Total for the half oz was $55 after the coupon, and $25 with the return.
I always loved Roll One back when it was under Harvest, but haven't tried it much since Trulieve took over. The two strains I got today both live up to the expectations I remember from the Harvest days. The buds are big, and smell fucking fantastic. Both Acapulco Gold and Skunk Ape smell unlike any other strain I've had so far; I'm excited to try them out after work.

This post below made me want to create a new section in the spreadsheet for flower.
The main section is just high quality flower, and we don't care about price. Of course, try to get discounted, but these strains are continuously great hitters and are known to be good.
The other section is just "good bang for your buck". So these are just great values, where price is a factor. We'll see a lot of LHS and Trulieve R.O. in this section, and maybe some surprise appearances from Curaleaf or Vidacann.
I've added some new strains.
If anyone has anything that can be added to either list, please let me know.
The Skunk Ape looks great, don't think I've seen that one an option so will look forward to giving it a try next time I'm there.
Following up on my LHS purchase (AYR ... glad it's still 3 letters...), the Mai Tai x is still "fine", but the Boston Rntz #5 is actually pretty dang solid.

The Acapulco has treated me nicely every time. Your pic looks just like mine. Smell is always fantastic, but flavor doesn't always pull through quite as strongly as I'd hope. Effects are nice though and all around a good, consistent, inexpensive experience. At the risk of repeating myself, in my experience Jack Herer is pretty close to the Acapulco in terms of smell.

I'm not sure why I can't pull great flavor out of it, with how fantastic it smells.
Must be how it's cured?
I think the only way to get flavor may be to nug stuff and low temp, flavor scrape off the surface terps. Seems to fade once it's ground.
I'll have to play around with it if I get more...
When it comes to flavor, I notice...
-The flavor on the surface of the bud
-The flavor inside the inner-resins of the bud
Citrusy Sativas do great with that surface flavor, but not so much the inner flavor.
Then you get something real skunky, and you get a real deep inner flavor that holds as you continue vaping.
Maybe it's just something natural related to the resins on certain flavors. Maybe that gassy/skunky flavor is always more resinous, being more forgiving with the temp and draw while still producing good flavor.
Not sure if I'm crazy with that.
Wonder if there is a thread on FC about discussing flavor. I even notice "where" on my tongue I taste certain flavors...

Ended up stopping by Trulieve and got a R.O. Bubba Kush and R.O. Tangie Girl. Both smell great, and are nice soft buds that peel apart nice instead of snap apart.
BK is more on the sweeter side, very similar to R.O. Member Berry. I can see some not enjoying this smell, the sweet is a bit overpowering which is what's stopped me from going back to the MemberBerry as well.
Tangie Girl is more on the Sour gassy end. Not as large of nugs, but still nice looking, and a bit more unique than the standard R.O. brand.
Edit:
Blew a bag of both to see how the flavor was on each.
Starting on a low temp, the Tangie Girl had a pretty gnarly flavor, not good at all.
Blew a second bag with a fresh bowl at a higher temp to see if that was the problem, and same result.
Will need to try again using different means of extraction to see if maybe the long exposure to heat blowing the bag may be destroying the flavor.
Will also need to try it ground instead of hand broken.
Crazy, considering how much I enjoy the smell.
The BK started to smell a bit more on the cheese side when I broke it up and was great through the bag. No dark flavor and the sweetness and cheesiness came through.
More experimenting with both..

I was recommend on Facebook a Florida MMJ Review page, which I joined to gather some intel.
...how grateful I am we have our little corner here on FC, lordy lordy that place is weird.
I've been getting some inside scoops though...
a lot of talk of Insa and Gold Leaf. Gold Leaf delivers quite a bit around, and Insa is localish to me. Prices on Insa looked quite high though, but they have some affordable options. They have bulk value which is really nice.
Seeing some common ground of experiences compared to what we've had. Lot of bad dispensaries, and a few "know what to look for", and a few good ones.
Seeing some people talking positively about RiSE as a hidden gem, GH for the value, MUV for overall quality, Flowery good quality, JB doing great, and Insa/Gold leaf setting some good standards.
Seen some posts mentioning Ayr and how they're hit or miss but hard to be mad at the price, but overall positive.
Seems for the most part pretty on par with what we discuss
Saw someone make a post about green dragon(?) dispensary, and out of 90 comments, he said only 1 was positive
