I've been wondering the same about the Florida Cake....any takers?

The trend is definitely lower in terms of flower price. $30 for better than mids and $25 for some interesting strains is becoming more and more available. I've never bought flower for any where near $65 but its out there too. It also looks like the typical sale days, like 4-20, are no better than regular days as competition heats up.

HTCannabis St Pete Soft opening up down the street from me in TMinus 1 day!!
Unfortunately, I'll be in Orlando ONLY on that day....hopefully going Saturday is still exciting before the grand opening on the 10th.

Always wanted to visit a dispensary on opening day, bummer I probably won't be able to make it, but very glad I'm having another (hopefully) quality option near me. Reviews seem great for HT and they have some awesome deals.

Ok....when someone suggests we include them I'll put them in. Hopefully they will have a storefront up here in North Florida or deliver. I took a look and their 1st time customer deal is 20% off and today is 30% off but nothing caught my eye at these prices. The Daytona location says "delivery soon".

Live rosin under 60 and bubble hash under 65 when discounted not too shabby. Still out of my price range but may try the live rosin to see what I’m missing out on compared to trulieve Budder at some point.

I saw some terps percentages on some of their ads on flower and it seemed solid. I like the quarter smalls discounted at $42 too. Discounted eighths at $31 is a bit meh.
Would like to see $40 eighths being the standard pre discount for higher tier bud and $50 quarter smalls consistently.

HT not bringing anything ground breaking, but it’s still the right direction, and I’m happy it’s hopefully most likely going to be another option for me. Depends how often we see discounts.

Just wish I could once buy something not discounted and feel happy about the price. The dispensaries got themselves in a Dickscount measuring contest.

Ended up making it to HT for their soft opening. They said it was much busier than they expected which they all seemed tired but pleased about.

I let them know I was interested in 1/4 smalls and eighth regulars, and they instantly jumped in with recommendations. After recommending, they pointed out where the strain was on the viewing table so I could go over and see what it looked like.

I only looked at the Morning Steep which was the eighth, and just a glance at it was satisfactory.

The 1/4 is Prophet.
Both came out to 3.5 and 7.0 on the dot.

The Morning Steep smells like straight chocolate which I've never experienced in Florida strains before. I've only smelled it once in Oregon when I visited. Very interesting and I love seeing unique smells coming through.

The Prophet is not trimmed well at all as you can see lol. The smell is great though and some of the buds are pretty dense. Hopefully their trimming gets better on those smalls so they aren't so ugly. Smell is very spicy and peppery, really tickles the nose. For a $42 1/4 I'm definitely satisfied. MedMen also does this, but it's not quite as exciting with their bud

But yep, it's just tables of all of their eighths, smalls, preground (which looked really nice but low thc), as well as all of their different types of concentrates. Those sure were fun to look at. Much different than what I'm used to seeing always looking at budders.

So I didn't get to see jars of weed or exactly what I was purchasing, but got to see the samples under a light with a magnifying container.

GH will show you your flower before you buy it if you ask.

I was too tired (2 and a half hour sleep and a drive to and from Orlando), so I really didn't get to look around and pick out what I wanted. I just made it quick as I was already late showing up before closing.

Next time I'll treat it like a regular dispensary, walk around, and just find strains that look dank and pick them out.
Whenever I asked a question, they were all jumping in talking over each other. Seems like they're all excited to talk about weed.

Its as legit as any other dispensary....there are reports that flower, regardless of dispensary, is tested by selecting the juiciest buds on the plant. Trulieve has a product called Primo where they only include the top, juiciest buds on the plant that get the most sun. I've been wondering how they test those as well....is the testing done on the top Primo buds only and does the rest of the plant get separated before testing? Who knows....I still make my selections based on these specs.

I like how RiSE has different terpene percentages and different thc listed for all their tiers and you constantly see them changing depending on batch. So while they’re still probably doing the same practice of picking the best buds, at least it feels up to date.

In the end, you just start to find what correlates accurately with effects for you. If I see 30%+ at Trulieve, I honestly couldn’t care in the slightest. 25% at curraleaf, whatever.

But 25% slurricane at muv?
Probably super dank.

I’ve started to look at terpene percentages more if possible and appreciate any dispensary that highlights those prior to purchase.
