Will probably end up picking up a sativa and an indica. RiSE's terp perentages have always reflected properly whenever I vape. Anything close to 2% tends to taste pretty strong. We'll see!

This was most certainly the right choice. Got an eighth of Krome Runtz for $15, and Sour Rebel for $20.

Both look and smell dank but the Krome Runtz is another level. Just a real deep dank smell and the look is perfect. Eye for Eye and Nose for Nose it's almost identical to MUV's Slurricane.

Lets contrast your experience with mine just now at Trulieve. This is an 8th of the $58 Black Tuna. I had a $25 coupon so I got it for $33. This was supposed to be a treat for me. I'm wondering if I should return it or am I just over-expecting what a $58 8th should be? Its not super dank or dense and the majoroty of the buds are close to minis/littles. Am I just having buyer's remorse because I expected the tippy top tier? Comments?

EDIT: Called TL to set up a "delivery" exchange for another 8th of this so called "top tier". Was told the exchange was set up and I'd get an ETA ASAP. Didn't get an ETA hours later so I called TL back. Guess what....no exchange was set up. I'd had enough ... so I asked for a refund and was told I'd have to drive to the dispensary for a cash refund and there was no guarantee I'd get a cash refund since its at the manager's discretion.... but I could always get a credit. Suggested the delivery exchange and asked them to verify the quality before knocking on my door. That's also a no go because they can't open any product. Final answer....If I don't like what I see on the delivery I'll have to drive to the dispensary for a "hope" on a cash refund. I hate giving a company my money when they didn't even kiss me first. What a mess......

This looks like trash for $58 an eighth... $464 for an ounce of this?? It looks like some buds had potential in there, but they should be moved to the "smalls" section of the store...

I would expect large COLAS, the best picks of the plant.


Does it smell fantastic if ANYTHING?

Even if it got you the highest you've ever been, what disappointing bag appeal for some of the highest priced weed in the state.

The only saving grace is that it was $33, but that's with YOUR discount that could have been applied ANYWHERE in the store.

That's also a no go because they can't open any product. Final answer....If I don't like what I see on the delivery I'll have to drive to the dispensary for a "hope" on a cash refund. I hate giving a company my money when they didn't even kiss me first. What a mess......

I think my refunds are usually store credit, hopefully you can convince them that you're never coming back (if that's the case), and they'll give you a cash refund. Try to say "the lady on the phone told me I was able to get a cash refund, and told me it had to be done through the store so I drove all the way out here" and make it awkward for them.

I've tried to splurge on the top tier flowers before, thinking I'm doing myself a treat, and every time I feel regretful.
My treat now is getting my top picks at MUV when they're discounted if I so choose to. Typically, I just love trying new strains, so that's a treat in itself exploring.

I think anyone who looks will agree my $15 eighth looks more impressive than that $58.... and idc what anyone says, bag appeal is a factor to be considered.

I'm over here pissed for you my friend. Not trying to fuel your fire though, just don't want you second guessing yourself.

I've had good transactions and bad transactions with TL so I know how things can go. It didn't get seriously under my skin until I found out the original exchange promised wasn't entered. Bad product and bad service ... uh, uh, you only get to pick one.

TL seems to do that, sneak some small nugs in with big, probably to get it to weight. However, there have been several times where I'd open an 1/8 and said immediately to myself, are these minis? Check the label...hmm, mislabeled? Trickery I say and shame on them. Luckily or unluckily for me, I like the concentrated more than the flower now so I get less flower.

Didn't seem too responsive to it, but honestly, he didn't seem like he was enjoying the day anyway, so I probably just added to his negativity at the time unfortunately. They're just usually good communicators there so I try to be open. I let them know their concentrates are still super dank though.

The same yellowish kief, sporadic small purplish/black spots, and patches of orange.

I haven't had Slurricane in some time, but from what I remember, the smell is identical. Both addictively gassy and smells the house.

RiSE has an interesting place in the industry here. They don't really bring anything new, they don't try to be exciting. No fun edibles or concentrates. But man some of their flower has repeatedly just done well for me. It's one of the few places where I get the same strain multiple times because it just seems I know what I'm getting. Same goes for something like Muv where I always know what I'll like (despite rarely ever going).

Biggest issue with RiSE was their price, and them not taking CanPay. They didn't drop their prices when everyone else did for the most part, so they were sometimes the most expensive, without real premium bud. I could get flower from them for $35 discounted, or $35 from Muv discounted, and I'd sure as hell go to Muv at that price point.

If trey are able to keep the $15 for the lower tier (not smalls), or even around $20 average for flower, I'd be pretty damn satisfied there if they keep the same quality. I really don't want to be spending $50 for a quarter when a (maybe) slight drop in quality can get you $30-$40/quarter elsewhere.

Took advantage of MUV's 40% extracts sale Tuesday and loaded up on RSO. Great variety of strains too. Got 8 and saved $176

Haven't bought much flower recently, but did try a new GH strain a couple weeks ago - Guava Gas (Indica 20.8%). Hadn't been in GH in months, and I forget how fresh and perfect most GH bud is. Wonderful tropical fruit and kush flavor, with a hint of diesel.

DAMN! I missed this one. Thanks for catching it @AJS !!

I can't remember the last time I paid more than $33 for an 8th AND I've been happy with the sale items purchased…... so unless there are no more "inexpensive" $20 8ths out there or a sale on something that WAS $33+ …. I'll never buy these higher priced 8ths. I'll have to live vicariously through others on the regular price point. If I didn't have that $25 coupon I wouldn't have purchased the Black Tuna 8th. My Grandmother was fond of saying "cheap is dear" because buying something cheap will cost you more in the long run versus buying something inexpensive. Semantics.........

The exchange of the $58 Black Tuna went well. Opened the jar and the buds were good sized, pleasing to the eye, sticky and the smell was so much better this time. Pretty much what I expected the first time. Just to be clear - my issues were with the product/packaging/trim and customer support for the exchange.... none of which is handled by the dispensary. The dispensary employees were friendly and professional. I used the "chat" to resolve my issues twice and the chat is staffed by a centrally located corporate group. Can't blame the dispensary and I spelled this out in the Google review so I didn't blame the wrong humans. Here's a pic of the new jar......

Went to LHS to pick up some disposables for my upcoming road trip this weekend.

I asked them about their new flower and their new pricing system. Going to try to recite it as best I can.

LaterDays is a permanent $20/eighth now without a discount, it's not just a seasonal change but a full pricing change.
It is to make room for the new LOST line which will be $40/eighth standard, with potential discounts (but didn't seem too common).

Something something something about LaterDays is their lazy fast curing fast harvest batches. that they don't care too much about.
The LOST line is something something something about 12 day cure time, and always within 60 days of harvest to store to be sold. They said it should be pretty consistently sticky and nice quality. Maybe if I build up some reward points I'll give it a try.

They tried the WAP and mentioned they really liked it, strong, gassy, and sticky.

I remember when LHS opened around here, their marketing was $28 eighths over 20% THC. They quickly went higher in price, and lower in THC.
Hopefully this puts them back into a nice space.

Speaking of a road trip.... LHS doesn't deliver to my area but I can drive it in about 30 minutes and now you got me curious.

Rise doesn't deliver in my area and its too far to drive but the next time I visit the mouse-house I may stop in. Actually Halloween Horror may be a go.

There's a definite shift going on over the last few months.....I could be wrong but it looks like the price is dropping fast and quality of the lower price points climbing..... but at a slower pace than the price is dropping.

I went to Curaleaf recently for their $10 edible sale....they had taken over a bank or pharmacy building AND HAD A DRIVE-THROUGH. That drive-through had me giddy and giggling like a child..... As Dylan said.....the times they are a changin!
