No, I’m waiting for the Orlando or Tampa stores to open. Actually I’m really waiting for delivery. Probably not offered yet because they just opened last week. The Ocala store shut down for two days this week because they got cleared out.

I’m loving the price shakeup that seems to be happening with the entry of a couple California powerhouses. It seems like Jungle Boys is offering higher quality flower at a cheaper price, and 710 Labs better concentrate at a lower price. So other dispensaries are starting to offer better and better sales in reaction. At least I hope that’s what’s happening.

Jungle Boys should have affordable Live Rosin as well. In Cali they were known for their concentrates way more than their flower. 710 also sold premium flower. It's surreal to me that two of the most top shelf brands from LA are the ones driving down FL prices. Never would've predicted that.

Been experimenting with edibles lately and someone recommended BlueKudu Chocolates which are Buy 2 Get 1 Free at Curaleaf so I ordered 3 yesterday. Free delivery. Yesterday the status was "order is being prepared". Was hoping to get them for the holiday but not a big deal if it doesn't make it this weekend. Sale price is $16.66 each.
We've started to party out back and I don't want to miss them so I decided to call them to see if I could get an idea what day it might be delivered. After giving the support person my info she said "It looks like the order was prepped and ready yesterday but I can't find anything else on the order and I think the delivery crew picked up today's orders already. When they come back to the store I'll find out what's going on and call or text you".

This has a “prewarmer” before ur first hit to get the temp up and loosen up the oil. Seems to provide a better first hit on lower temp.
.5g and the whole setup for $25.

Overall pretty satisfied with it for the cost. Hell, a half gram in a cart can run $45

And that's SoFlo...you couldn't even pay rent and afford to live on that salary in that location....sad.This is kind of a bummer. Making good hash is an art. At this salary, half your money is going to rent every year.

I saw this and confirmed what I've seen around me and anecdotes I've heard. Florida is quickly becoming one of the least affordable States for normal working people.
I moved back here in 2019. The real estate around me has gotten wild since then. "Homes from the low 500's" who the fuck are they for? Not for anyone relying on the local job market to make their mortgage payments, I can tell you that.
Even with 710's better pricing, their hash isn't what I'd consider cheap. I'd be more ok paying the prices we do at dispensaries If I knew the people actually growing and extracting made enough to live. I don't think a hash maker should be paid enough to afford a 500k house, but they sure as hell should make enough to rent a modest apartment. Start up costs for an apartment around me would be like a month and a half of that salary, minimum.

We moved from New Jersey to North Florida in 1999. We were 18 miles from NYC .... better known as a 1.5 to 2 hour commute. We moved because:
- Kids were going into high school in the same area I grew up in and no way I was going to let that happen after being exposed, through work travel, to the nicer Mayberry areas out there.
- Cost of living was 18% better in North Florida. Houses alone were worth the move. The house we bought/built in Florida would have cost at least 50% more up north. We sold our crappy house up north where prices had jumped and used the proceeds to purchase a brand new house outright.
- I could work in Florida for NY Metro firms. Earning NJ/NY wages in an area that cost 18% less to live. Wasn't all working from home - in some cases I worked brick and mortar locations in Florida for NY/NJ firms.
- The lifestyle was a big step - people were nicer, the public schools were "A" schools, loved the weather and "nature" areas (Beaches, swamps, parks, etc.)
Over 20 years later.....The move was the best thing I ever did for my family and myself. There's a funny little dance that happens .... people who moved here start acting like they have always been here and want the newbies to stop moving here.
Most of the folks here aren't from here and the cyclical trend has picked up again which is helping drive up the prices even more. I recently checked the value of my house and its insane.
The good news is that this cycle has played out 3 or 4 times since we lived here and if history is any barometer the next shock will be how much the housing prices have dropped again.
I do wonder if the current trend is being augmented politically......I moved down here to escape things like the cost of living and improve our lifestyle. I didn't move down here to be in a red state but I do wonder if others are.

That's me too. I do not rely on the FL economy to make my money. All of my customers are out West or in the North East. The only people I know down here who are doing well either work in real estate, law, or the medical field. Important industries, but they're meant to be be an adjunct or support to the economy.
Our main industry is tourism. Everyone I know who works in tourism or the related service industry are either struggling, or have massive parental support. I knew people who were struggling in Cali too, but still had plenty of friends with good paying jobs in tech, logistic (all our shit comes into LA ports) or entertainment. Rent down here is the same as it was in LA just a few years ago, but the pay is nowhere near that level.
I think it is to a certain extent. The message from the FL Government to the rest of the country was "Are you mad that your servants at restaurants aren't working due to COVID shutdowns? Come on down to the Free State! We'll force the servant class back into bars and restaurants, guar-un-teed!"
That's who's buying the 500k houses around me. People who make or made their money in States with more advanced economies. Which wouldn't bother me if their servants were paid enough to afford a 1 bedroom apartment.
I'm glad I bought my home in 2019. I love not having winter. But I absolutely would not recommend anyone moves here right now. This State was a good deal just a few years ago. Now I think it's overvalued.

Got a call late in the day yesterday from "Safeguard Services". This turned out to be Curaleaf delivery. I told them we don't pick up the phone if we don't know the number so they should leave a message if the caller ID doesn't mention Curaleaf - the agent said they'd leave a sticky note as a reminder. No message was left and we didn't pick up. They called again this morning and left a message so we called them back.....Been experimenting with edibles lately and someone recommended BlueKudu Chocolates which are Buy 2 Get 1 Free at Curaleaf so I ordered 3 yesterday. Free delivery. Yesterday the status was "order is being prepared". Was hoping to get them for the holiday but not a big deal if it doesn't make it this weekend. Sale price is $16.66 each.
We've started to party out back and I don't want to miss them so I decided to call them to see if I could get an idea what day it might be delivered. After giving the support person my info she said "It looks like the order was prepped and ready yesterday but I can't find anything else on the order and I think the delivery crew picked up today's orders already. When they come back to the store I'll find out what's going on and call or text you".

First, we were told they had the product and would be here in 30 minutes...I mentioned it was 3 units and was told they only had one showing for the order. After reviewing the order again they magically got the order correct.
Second, we were asked if we wanted to use our points. I had checked for points when I set up the order but couldn't find them. Turns out they have a new system and only they could see the points from prior purchases. They used the points to reduce the order by another $12.

IMO MUV is as good as GrowHealthy, Trulieve or Surterra and is better than Curaleaf and VidaCann. I don't have enough experience with other dispensaries to do a compare.
