Yeah @syrupy, that was my next thought too! I like the idea of using MIDI gear, because it's simple circuitry, cheap, durable and some people have it already. MIDI footpedals like the one used here simply complete a circuit when depressed. MIDI "Expression" (read: wah-wah/volume) pedals operate by control-voltage (CV in the modular synth world). Many of them have a small dial to set the lower limit of the pedal. I'm sure a better tinkerer than I could make it control VV vaping, but my scrappy ass is not about to mess around with wall current! How about hooking it up to a wah-wah pedal, for variable voltage vaping?

C'mon, you know Jimi would vape...
Wow, thanks everyone! Hmmm, maybe I'm not so crazy after all... Nah!

Here's a nice expression pedal by Moog. I have one of these and it is smooooooth! I'd love to have an activation pedal like mine next to a temp control pedal with this thing! Would give a whole new meaning to the words Daily Driver!!!
Right on, @Vapoholic420! So whether you have a music or tattoo background, you might already have the goods to be pedal-vapin'! MIDI footswitches are at about the same price point (under $20), and from what it looks like, exactly the same shit (1/4" connector that completes a Tip-Sleeve circuit when depressed). Great news because it provides many affordable options. And patients could even choose other tactile or even sound-triggered interfaces to suit their needs. Clap-vape, anyone? Also, try out a pedal for a tattoo machine. I'm a tattoo artist, and I'm pretty sure it's exactly what ur looking for! Here's a link:

Plus they also have digital power supplies that are similar to the concept of the Core. I'm sure something could be made from it. Good luck and cool idea.
